Whatever everyone’s opinions are, one thing’s for sure. Good or bad this man gave our fanbase a ton of memories the last 20 years. Memories we’ll likely be talking about for the rest of our lives.

  1. Amen. He left with dignity and should always be remembered. People bitched about Noll and Cowher too. And it will be all healed when he slips that gold jacket on.

His bust better have some damn aviators on it.

  2. The real memories basically go up through the Killer Bs era. Then it’s just a lot of gray.

  3. You don’t know anything about the nfl or football if you throw dirt on Tomlin in any way

  4. 8-12 in the playoffs and 6 of those wins were with his predecessor’s team largely intact

  5. 19 years and only one single game (week 17 in 2012) coached where his team was mathematically eliminated from the playoffs. The team was always in the hunt, and kept our attention for 4+ months every year.

  6. I wouldve been fine letting him coach out the last year of his contract but I was of the general opinion that a shake up would be best for us and him as well.

However, I dont think even the biggest Tomlin haters can look back at his tenure and claim it was a failure.

He could’ve done more with some teams (we went 3-5 in the playoffs since the last SB appearance, in 8 years, so Ben in his prime from 28-35), but he did more with lesser teams too. He was a slam dunk hire.

A SB, 3 conf. Title appearances, another SB played in, and only 1 game in his career where we were eliminated from the playoffs. He left way more good memories than bad. It was a successful tenure.
