[Tsekouras] Blue Jays home opener tickets sell out. This is how much they were going for

  1. Gross. I get supply and demand but baseball should remain accessible to all fans. These ticket prices are driving a lot of fans away from the park.

Hopefully it doesn’t turn into like the Maple leafs once were where it would cost $300+ for 300 level obstructed view seats.

  2. Not that outrageous. It’s the season opener, home opener and start of their 50th season all in one night after an incredible run to the World Series.

I snagged two seats in the 500’s during yesterday’s DD pre-sale for $257 after tax. Im happy to pay that for what is sure to be a memorable night.

  3. I paid $232 for Section 138, Row 29 on Canada Day. I’m not sure if it’s normal nowadays since it’s my first time attending a Jays game on Canada Day. I remember paying around $100–$150 for Level 100 seats in previous years when it wasn’t a holiday. But I already know no beers for me during the game anymore 😅

  4. I was thinking of going to two games in May this year. I’m from BC. I’d need 3 tickets.

There’s no lower bowl tickets available near the infield. Then I checked StubHub… I’ll just watch from my living room.

  5. I will happily be watching this from my living room. TV gives better angles anyway. Can’t see closeups of John (red) Schneider in the stadium.🙃

  6. I went to the home opener last year, friends and I got cheap tix off stubhub the day before the game, below face value.

Those times have ended and we will hand this team off to the bandwagonners this year.

  7. I remember the days of 100 level home opener behind the plate for under 100.

150 for nosebleeds is just dumb.

  8. I got mine for just under $220 for 111 when the pre-sale for Quarter Season tickets happened. I didn’t think it was terrible, considering Quarter Season tickets and the home opener cost less than I was about to pay for game 7 tickets, but I remember a few years ago when those seats would have been $130.

  9. Just a FYI that home opener (nor Canada Day) are not sold out as I type this. Rogers has set aside some seats so that new purchasers of flex packs (minimum 10 games on top of home opener & Canada Day) can access them. Pretty slick move on the part of Rogers.

  10. My dad got the two of us opening game day tickets every year since 97’, this is the first year he hasn’t been able to get any because they sold out so fast. Bummed but we’re going to order takeout and watch the game at his place this year.
