Does NOT hiring Christian Parker telegraph who the Green Bay Packers REALLY want as DC?

The Dallas Cowboys hired Christian Parker, one of the fan favorites, to be the Green Bay Packers next defensive coordinator. But Matt LaFleur had a chance to hire him and didn’t. Peter Bukowski thinks these points us directly at who Green Bay DOES want to hire. Plus, why there’s been no news on staff changes, and why the coaching carousel has shown why Green Bay was right to choose continuity.

  1. Romans 10:9-10 "That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

  2. As a Packer fan in AZ I don't get the Green Bay media. Why do they protect the coach and the GM and Ed Policy for running this back? Are they afraid of loosing access to cover the Packers or something?

Like our teams in AZ are terrible but the media rips them for it and calls out the coaches. It just feels like the Packers media only cares about protecting the brand which is becoming mid at this point running it back.. Fear of being bad isn't a reason to avoid changing. It comes across as being either afraid to loose access to press conferences or they are so afraid of going back to the 70-80's that they will take mediocrity and maybe a super bowl every 20 years if it means they aren't bad. Even though we finished with 5 straight losses which seems bad to me.

If the media doesn't hold them accountable and call this stuff out nothing will change.

  3. Leonard leave an elite broncos defense while we got scrubs for cb because this team is too cheap and always cheaps out with players. They obviously didnt try hard enough to keep jeff

  4. As a fan you have little say in coaching. They may hear booing, media chatter, and get letters which end up in the circular file. I'm sure Mr. Policy will get a few that are shared on his monthly chat with fans. It's a public team of sorts that's run as a modern NFL team. One big picture item that no reporter even gets is we are not in 1265. Staff, players and personnel see day to day alot more.

  5. thank you, thank you, thank you! ive been saying for YEARS that jim leonhard should be a part of the packers in some capacity. he's also my #1 candidate dc.

  6. The Green Bay Packers have options, but Christian Parker would be a home-run hire and it’s a decision that Matt Lafleur has to get right. The Green Bay Packers have a wide-open Super Bowl window, and finding the right defensive coordinator could make a significant difference. Matt Lafleur has an up-and-down track record when it comes to hiring the right coaching staff and Christian Parker would be an excellent choice. He needs to find a replacement who can make a similar impact that Jeff Hafley does and runs a similar 4-3 defense. Go Pack Go 💚💚💛💛🧀🧀

  7. I don’t like Gannon. from his pressers, just seems like a fake tough guy. I also just don’t like the vibes of driving a blacked out Benz with rims…. Dude, just stop,, you don’t fit with the Packers Culture.

  8. I actually prefer a seasoned DC, we need experience in that role similar to Hafley. Easily I'd go with Raheem Morris or Jonathon Gannon, both with history of coaching defensive backs

  9. I think if they hire Jimmy Lenard as the DC he would be a great addition. And if Matt Lafleur doesn’t work out in the next year or two Jimmy Lenard could take over as Head Coach. He was Assistant Head Coach in Denver under Sean Payton he is prime to becoming a head coach in 2 years.
