[Passan] Right-handed reliever Seranthony Domínguez and the Chicago White Sox are in agreement on a two-year, $20 million contract, sources tell ESPN. Dominguez, 31, is expected to close for the White Sox, who use the money saved in the Luis Robert Jr. deal to continue adding this winter.

  1. Oh well. Jays have been quiet lately that may be it for the off-season unless bassitt or mad max return.

  2. White Sox are going to have such a great trade deadline, between this and the Murakami signing.

  3. Dude held out as long as possible and not only got a decent contract but also a closing role which if he does well in means an even bigger cash-out later.

  4. He was solid, but unspectacular during his brief time with the Jays… Nothing against him, but I’m also not upset that we didn’t pursue him this off season.

  5. Dang, I would’ve signed on for that.

Edit: unironically he might be a Blue Jay in 6 months

  6. I have to remind myself we did a lot of work in the early postseason because the end stages feels like the Blue Jays management are asleep at their desks.
