But the game has changed a lot! All these teams forking out million of dollars on a QB wanna make sure he's protected well. Back in the '60's & 70's they had "head hunters" & bonuses for taking out certain players even. I ain't saying that it was right. Just saying that's the way it was. The game was much more brutal. Tom would have been good back then too. But would have probably retired in hus early 30's, I think. Even Joe Montana suffered horrible pain even after he retired. Some injuries never get better.
