Another potential NEW COACH for the DETROIT LIONS?

  1. You did say that Skipper was going to be coaching, Steve.

Thing about some of the sets that Petzing uses on Offense may carve out a roll for Manu.
Who better to bring in as an assistant coach then Skipper to help some of our TEs/Jumbos to get ready and to be effective in those roles?

  2. I agree that we need to give Drew a chance. Dan and Brad have more insight and knowledge than I will ever have. I trust in our leadership and I'm down for the ride. Keep up the great content fellas.

  3. Dan Skipper was one of my favorites! He always ran up to players to help them up after getting tackled wish the best for him! Glasgow will be another one that will be a coach

  4. I think ARSB is talking more
about the little nuances, the ā€œbehind the scenesā€ things that we’re unaware of and don’t know or see. Not the actual witnessing of a football game and not knowing what’s happening on the field. A lot of football business takes place that the basic fan is not privy to. So in that respect there is definitely a lot we don’t know.

  5. My trust in dan is running thin, he let's emotion get to involved and goes for it in 4th when we should take the FG. It has 100% lost us games especially when oline was terrible, trying to run it for the 4th straight time on 4th and more than 1 yard. So my trust is almost gone

  6. You have got to be nuts to say that you feel bad for millionaires that get trash talked… Maybe you're better off than most, but I'm not going to feel bad for this guy. He failed in Az, he failed because he refused to adjust his scheme to match the QB he had. Murray wasn't a pocket passer. Sure… MAYBE it will work here. But that's assumptive, and certainly not based on anything HE did.

  7. St. Brown did ā€œthe lords workā€ by belittling Lions fans for criticizing the new OC hire? Did he forget what happened in 2025 already? Dan doesn’t have the best track record with OC hires. And we just hired an unproven guy that has had Cardinals fans calling for his job the last 3 years. God forbid the fans be reluctant to believe this was a good hire considering the situation.

I’m with Steve on this one. I’m not gonna burn my St. Brown t-shirt over it. Love that he’s a Lion, even with all the drops this year… #3 in the league btw (Jamo was #1). But he’s gotta be a little more careful with what he says if he doesn’t want the backlash.

  8. AZ Lions fan here again:I mentioned a couple of days ago about how bad the Cards QB & WRs were. Thank you for watching them and backing up that Murry sucks! Now watch Harrison drop most every ball thrown to him. Keep up the good work guys, love the show!

  9. Threatening the fanbase with them experiencing pain to understand blindly accepting some mediocre coach when we didnt make it to the post szn (bc of a previously hired mediocre) is peak delusion and nonsensical. You're saying fans of the fucking Detroit Lions a historic terrible professional sports franchise need to see pain bc we should be more patient with lame duck hires AFTER the season we had??? Excuse me?? I appreciate steve here but Will is out of his mind and so is St Brown. You swing for the fences an if you miss no fanbase will be more understanding and forgiving but coming here promising us a path to victory an every move looks like you just wanna be in the conversation is an insult to the people who stood by this franchise throughout hell and high water

  10. Guys. It’s not about whether you were right or wrong…or whether Saint was right or wrong. Reasonable folks aren’t going to hold any disagreement against you or Saint or anyone else. If you guys are talking about the most ridiculous fans making calls for cuts and firings, that’s one thing. Personally, I just ignore those folks. It’s genuinely not worth the energy to try reasoning with them.

But there’s a lot of fans who wanted someone proven. For example, I was not partial to McDaniel. I was curious to see what came from a Dabol interview. But I honestly had no preference, just as long as it was someone that has had some level of success as a play caller.

Calling Petzing ā€œsafeā€ā€¦I can’t agree. Safe would be going after a proven OC. If they hired Dabol and things went south, nobody would see that coming. Hiring Petzing gives the ā€œSOLā€ crew pre-loaded ammo. If Petzing bombs, not only does he catch heat, but so does Dan.

In the end, I meant what I said and I’m glad Steve kinda explained it. Idgaf what anyone says about my thoughts and opinions. I think I’m pretty fair, overall. At least, given a minute after an emotional reaction. But in the end, I’m still here. I’m here every year. I’ve earned the right to think, say, and feel whatever the hell I want.

Again. I don’t think you guys or Saint are wrong for speaking on your thoughts on the matter. I just think it’s a little funky to suggest that Lions fans are wrong or less of a fan or anything like that, for having an opinion on a franchise that has disappointed far more than anything else.

  11. I see Frank Ragnow as an assistant OL coach. Also working with Chris Spillman to identify OL talent coming up the university system. Also, at some point I see Jared Goff being an assistant QB coach and also working with Chris Spillman to identify QBs coming up the university system. Jared Goff has an exceptional talent for identifying and reading defenses and making adjustments on-the-fly. This is why Goff has value for the Lions in the long-term. Green Bay, for decades, has had the ability to identify and develop QBs. Jared Goff possibility can with establish this capability for the Detroit Lions.

  12. What I would like to know than is what made petzing a better hire than McDaniel or the other candidates for that matter.not *#$& on the guy but hopefully there's a press conference soon as to why.

  13. I'll say it was absurd for Amon to say trust Dan after hiring 2 failures at OC. And to say to fans you know nothing is a rude blanket statement, especially with some expert analysis agreeing.

And my question if McDaniel is better than Pezing, why not take the better and will it not translate to a better team??

  14. Thanks about your comments about fans, Will. The thing that drives me crazy is when fans recite stats, completely out of context. The actually think they know what they're talking about because of some numbers on a paper. Don't get me wrong, stats aren't meaningless, but it's lazy putting too much emphasis on them.

  15. Holy smokes I can’t believe I am agreeing with you Will 100 percent šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚ all jokes aside I do agree with what you’ve said. What I have to agree with the most is that it needed to be said (ASB) , could he have said it differently? Absolutely however if he did I don’t think the message would have been received. Been a Lions fan since the 60’s and this is the most confidence I’ve ever had in them
