Hear me out: Sign David Montgomery, then draft like this lol

Last time the Saints signed a RB from Detroit, it didn’t work out so well.
I would def take Sarratt
If we’re signing an RB in free agency, I’m hoping for someone younger tbh
God I would love Sarrat. Seems like a good between the numbers kinda WR.
I’d like this draft personally.
Not a bad draft, but I’d take Aaron Anderson instead of CJ Daniels in later rounds. I know he’s a smaller guy and we need an X, but I know for fact Aaron Anderson will be a baller.
Yeah I’m pretty cool with this draft
David’s not leaving the lions, they just hired a new Offensive Coordinator specifically for the purpose of getting the spark back into the run game and utilizing him more, and if he does, it’ll be in a trade where at the bare minimum they get a fourth round pick.
Try to go for Breece Hall, or sign some interior lineman, draft Love and focus on defense going forward after that pick
Edit: Good draft tho. Would like something like this
I want Downs so much. I have a feeling once he shows up at the combine, he’s gonna shoot up the board.
Feel like Sarratt is one of those players that are going to slowly sneak their way into the first round these next couple of months.
Yea Montgomery and Kamara would be amazing. People act like Kamara has top end usage. In a component offense (even if we just keep the committee we have now) with actual good qb play he should be good again. No need to reach for RB. Line play (on both sides) wins, not running backs.
I think we need to sign the best Guard and still draft 2 IOL. Also no DLine till the 6th round wouldn’t be ideal
CJ Daniels is not a replacement level nfl player imo
Saints need offensive starters and depth on defense. So draft offense high and defense late for depth.
I like it.
Why do people think we need to sign a RB?
No thanks.
No thanks to David Montgomery. Not against signing a FA back though.
Don’t think they’re going Downs with that first pick. A top 10 pick for someone that’s going to likely have to be in a rotation with the other safeties on the team is not ideal.
Surratt is fine I guess. There are some other receivers I like more because they’re flashier and may have more upside but I’m alright with it.
Rest of the guys I don’t know too well so I’ll have to go off position. I like olineman and tight end. But then you double dipped olineman and then wide receiver again.
They’re probably signing a olineman in FA and they have Banks, Radunz, McCoy, Fortner, Ruiz, Fuaga, Simpkins, Asim Richards, Landon Young, Will Clapp and Saldiveri on the roster. They do not need to waste a draft pick on a guy that’s probably not even going to make the practice squad. Dont try to overcorrect an issue.
Wide receiver we have Olave, Vele, Polk, Trey Palmer, Bub Means, Mason Tipton, Dante Pettis. It’s more crowded than you think and a couple of those guys may not make the roster next year but again you’re overcorrecting a perceived issue with the roster. You can only play so many people in a game and you should be using draft picks to fortify other positions.
Anyways just my opinion.
As a Longhorns and Saints fan, I approve of the Endries pick.
