Trade deadline is less than 2 weeks ahead!

  1. no one wants these bums, i think every team knows there’s a reason why we’re trying to ship them off

  2. Gabe cardio deadass has negative trade vaule. We would have to attach a first round pick to even get a happy meal in return

  3. I for one am glad Vando has redeemed himself, his effort is for real and appreciated compared to many on this team

  4. They’ll still be lakers past the deadline because Rob will wait for the summer for “optionality”

  5. Want Knecht to find greener pastures. He worked with some of last year’s lineups and system but this year it seems there’s no longer a place for him.

  6. I think a move will be made. The new owners will pressure it. Even if long term the plan is to reload in the summer.

  7. What I’m looking forward to more than anything is Mark Walter asserting himself and making his mark on this team from the top down. Been a fan for more than 40 years and I’ll ride with the purple and gold until my last breath. We need some direction right now. That and AR.

  8. if Maxi’s contract was smaller, i would say keep him since he seems like a good locker room guy. but unfortunately it’s not

  9. Thenew Lakers management is boss. Thats why Jeanine is up talking shit. She has no control. With that said, they’re not making any major moves until after the end of.the season.

  10. I think the team stands pat and then Rob gets fired at the end of the year and a new GM retools everything around Luka. But maybe that is wishful thinking

  11. These players have zero value on the court, the value would be in the contracts assuming the Lakers take back a bad contract. This has always been a gap year. Once LeBron leaves this summer, the real mission starts.

  12. Rui (expiring contract) and Ayton (po) for Claxton.

Money works. IMO better fit than Ayton. Need an athletic, shot blocking big next to Luka with a high motor (opposite of Ayton).

Knecht and a 2nd for Ellis – Kings don’t even play him, his value can’t be that high especially heading into UFA.

Leaves Maxi and Gabes $11m expiring contracts + Vando at about $12m if they want to upgrade further using their 1st round picks.

May be better to hold and clear cap for the off-season but if they can pick up an athletic 3&D wing on a team friendly contract it could be worth it (Think Herb Jones).

What are yall thinking? Make moves now or wait until the off-season?

  13. What can we get for jake, dalton, and, gabe beside a box of animal crackers tho? We need the Miami Heat to develop some G leaguers for us since Lakers sure as hell cant figure it out

  14. I keep saying this but we will make a trade. But we have to be the 3rd or 4th team just not a direct trade between 2 teams. Expirings is very valuable to the 2nd team taking longer contracts from their initial trade.

  15. If you want to get this done, then you need to add Jake to guys like Gabe and Maxi. Those guys are expirings with next to no value.

  16. Man I feel bad for Kleber. He hasn’t been the same ever since he dislocated his shoulder on that dunk attempt vs the Clippers in the 2024 playoffs. What sucks even more is that he was just getting into a rhythm from 3 when it happened

  17. People underestimate the value of expiring contracts. Rebuilding teams will gladly take them
