this is the PERFECT TRADE PARTNER for the NEW YORK RANGERS…

The New York Rangers are definitely a team that need to be big time sellers ahead of the NHL trade deadline in March as it seems very likely they’ll be missing the playoffs for back-to-back seasons. In today’s video we take a look at some trade updates and rumors involving three different Rangers that could be dealt before the deadline or possibly this offseason.

  1. Dont see trading schneider for a defenseman. Rather have picks or a ready forward. Bit again oicks are a concern because we dont develop them, unless they are flipped for first or second line gritty goal scorers, like a jason tuch, or someone like him. Panarin would be so much better in playoffs on a better team, they cant just key on him if the team has other stars. Mika, indont see moving, when he shows effort here, hes a good player, same with trochek, but if a ridiculous deal comes our way, gotta consider it. This current core of players is not gojng to cut it. Curious tonsee what happens.

  2. With owner and GM Dullard/Dreary in charge – there is no "perfect trade partner".
We will trade good players, keep the floating turds, and get snookered.
You'd think the Rangers would want some forwards with scoring potential in any trade.
How far the Rangers have fallen in just 2 seasons.

  3. Trading away players like Panarin, Mika, Trochek, Schneider etc. is not "retooling". it's rebuilding. That Sharks D is dreadful, so I can see that they want good young D. But the forwards you mention getting back are just projects & potential mistakes. I'd rather go with Perreault, Laba, Othmann & Berard & be patient with them as they evolve. That process should have been implemented from the very start.

  4. Trochek and Schneider are the two pieces that will bring the best returns. Everyone wants a 2C who can PK and righty defensemen are always in demand. I would trade LAf as well while you're at it. Panarin cares about location. He wants to live in a big city and while the Panthers don't have the cap space to fit him, LA does. People seem to think the Caps are in on Panarin but he and Ovi are not two people who want to share a room. Mika isn't going to waive so we are stuck with him. Watch, as soon as Trochek gets traded JT Miller is going to crash out because playdates with Vinny were a big reason why he forced a trade to NYR. NYR isn't going to fix anything. Hartford is a barren wasteland of talent and a mess with no player development pipeline and Jed Ortmeyer as head of player development for the last 5 years needs to be asked just what exactly does he do here.
