Am I the only sane person in the world? Shohei isn’t stealing at a leadoff batter rate. He leads off with a homer…sometimes. He has to speed run his batting gear when he’s pitching. BUT…But…he HITS A SHITTON OF HOMERS AND WOULD DRIVE IN 30 or 40 more runs a year if he batted third or fourth. How does that not outweigh everything?

Doug. The point you are missing is that while Tucker does well against either right or left, this isn’t the case with Ohtani. 💀🤡
Putting 3 of the first 4 batters as lefties, only encourages opposing teams to go with a lefty pitcher.
Ohtani – of his 55 home runs. 40 were against right and only 15 against left.
Of his 20 stolen bases, 19 were against RH pitchers. His OBP, is .417 vs right and only .344 vs left.
Freddie strikes out more against lefties also. Bottom line he’s less effective.
Mookie is a guy like Tucker where it doesn’t matter left or right. He’s about the same.
Even Pages while his avg is better against left 24 of his 27 home runs were against righties. He faced much more right handed pitchers.
Teoscar has always hammered lefties and so so against righties.
The Dodgers should go L R L.
Edman helps as he’s a switch hitter. Alex Freeland is also a switch hitter but I don’t recall him batting right.
Dodgers have gone back to 2024 where they are too lefty dominant. Outman and Heyward flamed out due to constant opposing lefties.
He's batting 3 behind will smith, unless mookie shows he can handle the 2 spot. No way we bat back to back lefties.

Tucker doesn't need to bat 2nd. Roberts will most likely rotate the lineup as he typically does until he finds a lineup that works for the team. All of this is absolutely moot if Betts and Freeman, to some extent, struggle at the plate. Us as fans placing lineups in the comments section is just lame because what we think doesn't matter nor does it have any bearing in the real world.. SMH
Ohtani should be cleanup, anything else is garbage
