He passed the ball, then started drifting back as if to say “I’ll just be waiting back here on D…you guys can play 4 on 5”. And then he got a pass back. He didn’t expect that. He was basically taking himself out of the play.

    Coach saw a player not playing team ball and yanked him. He didn’t get benched for not taking a 3. He got benched for falling back out of the play while the rest of his team attempted to play offense.
