  5. Why are we stuck in the past? How have we not come to grips that the 70s were 50 years ago! The league has evolved! McVeigh is an OFFENSIVE coach! But hey, let's keep rolling that tired dog out there… Oh, let's wait 10 years past expiration date to realize we should move on to…

  6. I think Shula has this. When Tomlin got the job Mike was getting to go to the airport. Ron Rivera was in the playoffs with the Bears. Tomlin did a 3rd interview and left. Rivera couldnt interview and Rooney decided to hire Tomlin. This time around they are waiting for Shula, unlike Rivera. For them to put the other two on hold tells me Chris would really have to mess up his 3rd interview to go back to the others.

    steelers spent over 153 million, ranked 26th in the NFL

    rams spend ~65 million, ranked 17 in the NFL

    SHULA ONLY, F the rest

  13. Weaver hasn't been very successful as a defensive coordinator. His defensives are usually in the bottom 10 of the NFL. Why us he even being considered? At least Tomlin was successful before he was hired

  25. Everyone in the NFL thinks Weaver and McCarthy are so great, but none of those teams have any interest in interviewing either one of them. There’s a reason that they’re high in the Steelers list, they’ll come cheap.

  27. Shula is the only DC to be serious about. Weaver is 2nd best. Combined, Shula with Scheelhaase as OC is the best outcome. McCarthy is a big time waster.

  30. If the reason they hire McCarthy is so aaron will come back then the steelers failed. We cannot base our hiring decision on whether a 42 Y.O. comes back for 1 year. That's not a good idea.
