  1. KEEPING Glenn as just a figurehead, doesn't sit well with me. He's as close as you get to being let go. No wonder nobody wants to work for this organization.

  2. Aron Glen ability to do any with coaching n picking players is a giant ?. The guy looks lost n I still don’t understand why they hired him based on his Bullshit talk I guess bc he wasn’t even that good as a DC in Det. Listen all Jet fans Glen in year one was so bad n pathetic that kind of bad Can’t be fixed in 5 years never mind next year. He’s NOT QUALIFIED TO BE A HEAD COACH PERIOD.!!!!!

  3. If Glenn couldn’t pick great coaches last year, what makes us believe that he will get in great replacements….

How could they improve Justin Fields when they got a non expert QB coach to improve his game.

  4. Charles London is a RB that never played the QB position. It is reasonable to question his credentials and hire after such a disastrous season with some of the worst QB play I have ever seen.

  5. The one coach with the highest responsibility to coach, paid the most, supposed to coach the other coaches, and also selected the other coaches – gets to put the blame on everyone else.

Reminds me when there’s a false start on “everyone but the center”. Which everyone knows it’s the center’s fault.

  6. Let's be honest about this. Aaron Glenn is not an NFL head coach. He's forced to make changes because what are you going to do. Glenn can't get good coaches because they think they'll get fired next year.

  7. Whyyy did it take them so long to fire them?!?

Either way, this is still a fuckin mess. Glenn misjudged everything. Got everything wrong. Made no one better… And now, he's supposed to bring in better coaches, despite the fact that everyone knows he is going to get fired if they don't win games.
It's a mess. Clearly good coaches with options are not going to accept a job with jets

  8. It's really weird how so much of this fandom thinks Moore went back to college to avoid being drafted by us, but also think that the Jets have the pick of the litter when it comes to staff. Woody Johnson is a shit leader, and unlike other shit leaders in the NFL, doesn't have the team history and desirability that makes people go, well the owner is shit, but at least the franchise has opportunities. People like Glenn, Martin, Testerverde, Chrebet, are the reason I'm a Jets fan. I genuinely started watching because I was hoping to see him do good. But if he can't, I'm done with the team because it's obvious that ownership is preventing anything from happening.

  9. I know this is very long winded, my fellow JETS Fans. But, much as I love Ian, and all that he does for us fellow JETS Fans, I can't take these ridiculous positive spins. "The JETS are taking accountability"? Are you kidding? This is called scapegoating. Everyone else is to blame, but me. Every assistant coaching talent out there saw how bad AG was. Everything AG puffed out his chest about in his early press conferences came back to bite him in his ass: "It's all coaching" / "The last four minutes of each half are on the head coach" / An Aaron Glenn QB is "a winner" (get rid of Aaron Rogers – pay Justin Fields 30,000,000 guaranteed) / "This is going to be a team the fans are proud of" / "We're here to win now". He didn't know the distance of a possible game winning field goal! (Head Coach?) Every NFL fanatic and youtuber knows that calculation. Shall we go on? Now it's: "Trust me, we have a plan" and "Don't let go of the rope". You know what rope that is? JETS Fans are waterskiers who lost our skis and are holding onto a rope that is violently dragging us through waves and the wake of the boat. AG is way in over his head and now panicking and scrambling to salvage a head coaching opportunity. Woody Johnson makes me absolutely insane! He is not a frugal or cheap owner. He will spend the money where people convince him is correct. But, so far, he has not learned the lesson from Leon Hess: When your usual business and success plan doesn't work. Change strategy and bring in the best available people in the business to correct the situation and show your fans that you give a freakin sh*t. For some retarded reason, Woody seems to have an obsession with finding the next great coaching talent out of nowhere. Instead of doing with the JETS, what he probably does with all of his other investments. Do any of you think that at Johnson & Johnson, he looks at the executives at TEMU, and says "Come interview for my open position". I am not a JETS Fan who could ever afford season tickets. If I was, I would tell my season ticket rep, "I will no longer purchase season tickets until Woody shows me that he gives a crap about my loyalty as a fan. Vote with your wallets! Please do!

  10. Stupid question, do these candidates have agents ? If so who the hell is coming here with a coach on the hot seat knowing that you can be fired mid way next szn ? 😐

  11. Hey Ian you know what they should have done they should have just fired everybody and just hire a new coach and let him get his coaching staff this is ridiculous and it's bullshit

  12. Wow. Nah. Not getting that take. One year as a new Coach and your questioning his ability to put a staff together. Riiìght. Amazing how AG, has to meet every metric. He gets no brake. Smh.

  13. Dear Rex Ryan, Please swallow your pride, tell AG you wish to help the Jets win another Super Bowl! Imagine, just like a kid again, running in joy upon the side line as the Jets and your Father helped to lead the NYJ's to a Super Bowl! 19 point under dogs!

  14. Agree, Glenn showed poor judgement with the staff hires. I also remember last season, it was just a more desirable landing spot, even for HC. Now it’s a total disaster, and before everyone says he was tanking, they went 0-7 before the trade. I think next season is a wash. Nobody worth their salt is coming here to work for Glenn, who will probably be fired during or after next season.

  15. There's a lot of good to great ex quarterbacks out there that are just sitting and twiddling their thumbs in retirement. Why not stick out some feelers to these guys to see if they'd be interested in coaching?
Names like Testaverde, Pennington, McCown, Doug Williams (don't think he's coaching at the moment), Montana (?), O'Brien? Ken O'Brien, the last I knew was coaching at UC-Davis.
Montana may be a stretch (but why not?), heck maybe most of them would be, but why not?
We don't have a quarterback whisperer like an Andy Reid, Mike Holmgren, Sean McVay or Sean Payton. So go get somebody that has played the position and let them do nothing but coach the qb's. That's their only job.
Old time coaching staffs used to have quarterback coaches. They coached ONLY the quarterbacks. Now you have "backfield coaches" and QB/ wide receiver " coaches, and passing game coordinators, running game coordinators, and line coaches. The most important position on the field and it gets treated (coaching wise) as an after thought.
Go get someone that has played the position to coach the position, and didn't find out how to coach quarterbacks from YouTube or World Book Encyclopedias.
