It made me very proud to be a hawks fan. Continue to keep it classy this Sunday, everyone.

  1. i love this. its a sport. lets all come together and enjoy the show the guys are putting on. friendly banter is all good, but we keep it classy!

  2. Exactly, every NFCWest team trying to paint us as Philly fans… Nah, we cool, don’t don’t be a dick while you’re here

  3. I’m consistently surprised by how classy Seattle fans are at games. I’ve been to games in several sports in venues in other cities and Seattle fans are far and away the classiest.

  4. Washingtonians are too passive aggressive to be too confrontational or rude to random people.

  5. Definitely a common Seattle sports thing imo. Most of the Seattle team’s in person support is very friendly and fun. I’ve been to a lot of the different teams games and for the most part, any asshole is more basic asshole who’s just drunk and saying borderline stuff but not fucking with opposing fans or heckling anyone

  6. Shit talking online is part of the fun of fanbases, but in person its so important everyone feels safe and welcome. I just think of that clip from a few weeks ago of that ravens fan throwing beer at that guy and his kid sobbing. I hope we never see any shit like that at Lumen.

  7. My best friend is a Rams fan, we went to the Thursday night game together. As much as I tried, I couldn’t get fellow Hawks fans to heckle him. And believe me, I tried.

  8. I hate teams, I don’t hate the fans. Unless they are 49ers fans, or blue jay fans (mariners). But I’ll always be civil. Most likely there are kids around and you don’t want to hear people talking shit or being obnoxious. Be respectful and enjoy some light banter. GOHAWKS!

  9. Damn, I was also at that Rams game in 2017, was sitting right behind the Rams bench, and left early. Maybe that dude took my seat lol

  10. Missed a great opportunity to say they “beat the beaks” off us versus brakes in that last comment. Shame.

  11. I have been to a few games against the Rams and their fans have been equally as cool, just friendly banter, the way it should be.

  12. I went to the NFC Conference game against GB, yest that one…
GB fan sitting on my left, nice guy from Canada. Some asshole from a few rows back started taunting him. At first it seemed friendly enough but started getting aggressive as the game went on.

I told him not to worry, I had his back and I was sure other Hawks fans would too. He seemed to appreciate that. Apparently some other Hawks fans appreciated it even less because eventually security showed up and escorted him out.

Imagine missing that finale because you just had to be an asshole.

  13. Good to see!

I went to the week 18 game in Santa Clara. I heard some butt-hurt drunk Niner fans talking smack after the game. The kind where you know it’s in your best interest to just walk away…

  14. We treat opposing fans pretty damn well – we might give you some good natured shit but if you’re respectful we try to be.

I’ve gone with my sister who is a Saints fan to games and I never felt ashamed or like I had to be the big brother because people stayed inside the lines.

  15. Season ticket holder for about 5 years here, I’ve only ever seen one 9ers fan get their ass beat

  16. I will do some banter but keep it civil. At the end of the day, it’s just sports. We have lives to live and people that count on us. No reason to be an a-hole.

  17. I went to a Seahawks game in Phoenix, the one with the crazy Doug Baldwin catch, and Cardinals fans were throwing popcorn at us and one tried to dump her beer on me. Props to the organization though, their security is good and was having none of that. They both got dragged out lol

  18. As we should be. We know they’re people just like us. Doesn’t mean we can’t be that and be ruthlessly supportive of our team.

  19. Being a Seahawks fan that lives in the Midwest, I’m always the away fan somewhere out here. Green Bay has definitely been the friendliest – offering blankets and hand warmers to my frozen wife during the Divisional round in 2020. And plenty of friendly tailgating drinks and food during the regular season games. The trash talk is always good natured (“as long as you’re not a Bears fan!”).

Minnesota before, during, and after the 2016 Wild Card game (the win on a Blair Walsh miss) was the absolute worst. I’ve never been called a f*g so many times in my life – in between the physical threats. Nothing too serious but damn they were hostile hosts (it was also -25 degrees outside so maybe that played a role).

  20. Bills fan here, went to the Bills – Seahawks last year and all of you were very pleasant. Hope it was reciprocated.

One food truck vendor did get very mad at some people trying to body slam (their own) folding table. It was pretty funny as a bills fan.

Yall are my second team though, so go hawks!

  21. And yet, the nation thinks we’re insufferable.

  22. Went to a game against the Rams a few years ago and I was sitting next to a Rams fan. Friendly banter and then we just ended up complimenting each other’s teams lol. It was nice actually.

  23. Stark difference to when we attend 9ner games.

I always remember being friendly to visiting fans in Seattle. I was super surprised going to my first hawks 9ners game when I moved to the Bay.

I got lucky last game because hawks fans were all around us. It was a fun time.
