  1. Well obviously they’re still gonna end up bringing him back and make him Offensive Coordinator supreme over Bieniemy./s

  2. A goodbye post on the official team social channel is all but full confirmation that he’s not coming back in any capacity this year. Let’s see if EB gets the team back on track.

  3. At the end of the day, it’s Andy’s offense, and while Nagy wasn’t the solution to fixing the offensive woes, it wasn’t really his fault either. If the offense is going to rebound it’s going to be Andy looking in the mirror and making changes, and having EB there to be an enforcer and hold people accountable leaves me hopeful that we’ll see this team turnaround.

There’s no emotion on this team anymore and EB will evoke emotion, that’s for sure.

I really don’t have any ill will towards Nagy, his contract ending this year was convenient to make him a scapegoat or give him an easy out, but the offense turnaround relies almost entirely on Andy, as it always has.

  4. Said this a lot over the years, but it’s still true—the human in me regrets that the situation reached the point where someone had to lose their job, b/c that’s never a good thing.

The Chiefs fan in me, on the other hand, wants to head down to 1 Arrowhead Drive and pack his office up for him.

  5. I’m glad we made a change but he seems like a good dude and coached for us before and with Patrick including a SB victory and another SB appearance. Didn’t workout anymore but I will wish him well.

  6. If this nitwit doesn’t get a job somewhere it will really make the coaching staff and FO look like fools

  7. I’m not going to pin everything on Nagy, our O-Line was basically a patchwork all season. I still believe we grabbed a couple of Lowes employees to play tackle in he last few games. I won’t get into a RB that liked to run directly into O-Lines asses either.

Thanks for all you did here Matt, glad you got to see your son graduate here, and I’m sure you’ll be around if he’s a Jayhawk.

  8. I don’t blame Nagy for all of the offensive struggles from this past season. I put some of it on him, of course, but also on a handful of offensive players, other coaches, Andy Reid, poor officiating, and just dumb luck. Nagy’s departure feels like a bit of a sacrifice to the football gods, but it’s going to take more than that and EB coming back to fix all of the issues, and some problems (officiating, luck) are still out of the Chiefs’ control.

  9. It always seemed to me like Nagy’s biggest failure was simply a lack of accountability. The offense belongs to Reid, he calls the plays. But Nagy basically just seemed like he was there to hang out and be everyone’s (especially Reid’s) friend. That can be overlooked when you are successful but after a season like that he had to go. Same with the other nepotism and cronyism hires.

  10. Wish him the best, seems like a good dude, but this team needed someone different in that role

  11. Would have loved him to have stayed QB coach. Thought he did a great job in that position

  12. I think it’ll be interesting to see the next year or so just how much Nagy was/is at fault.

Part of me thinks “This has always been Andy’s offense. The OC is just a glorified quality control offensive assistant.”

Another part of me thinks “The stats don’t lie. The moment he arrived the O statically went downhill across the board.”

So I guess time will tell. Was it really him? Is Andy just cooked? We’ll see.

  13. Can we please not act like this man ever did anything for the chiefs? Jesus Christ, the fact this guy got hired back after his pitiful stint with the Bears is insane. Good riddance.

  14. He’s so great huh? Seems like no other team wants Nagyball taking over their organization. NO SHIT, HES A LAZY ASS, UNDISCIPLINED, YES MAN. No organization should hire this man. KC was the most uncoordinated offense in the league this year.

  15. Before we start throwing stones and kicking the man while he’s down, can anyone know for sure exactly what his duties and responsibilities were as the Chiefs OC?

  16. My mama always said if you ain’t got nothin’ nice to say, then say it anyway. Just kidding. Bye Nagy. I won’t miss you.
