As a longtime bears fan, I’ve never felt this. It feels like we are still in the playoffs. There was no real disappointment we lost, only that we aren’t going farther. This year was a blessing. It feels like we are about to gear up for football Sunday. Feels unreal!

Just the end of the beginning
Does anyone else feel like, if we happen to win a Super Bowl in the next decade, that this season will still end up being more fun than that one??
This is the most optimistic I’ve been in a long time. Ben seems to have a really great balance of football knowledge balanced with an innate way of relating to, and motivating players.
I also think he’s what the NFL wants. Rivalries are great for their product. They want the drama. They want moderated animosity. It sells. People stop tuning in listening to coaches like Nagy talk about “finding the why”.
Feels like 1984 to me.
It’s far from over
When the pick happened I thought “damn, what a great season” but the more I think on it I feel like “damn, they were so close to the NFCG and the NFL is so unpredictable year to year” I have full confidence in Ben and Caleb but you just never know if they’ll get back to that position; potentially 15 yards away from a conference title appearance. We could win every game next regular season and still not be in that position. Every time I see the Kmet TD I get a little sick because it should be considered the greatest Bears play of all time but they really needed the win to cement it in history. Back to square one. Bear down!
I think I’m optimistic because the whole season signaled to me that football is back in Chicago. We have a lot of talented rookies who will likely continue to improve, Caleb showed tremendous growth under this new and more talented coach, Ben is a better play caller and leader than we’ve had in years, Poles’ last two drafts went very well and the McCaskeys seem to be interested in spending for a modern football team. The good feelings from this season will certainly motivate the whole organization into next season, and Ben is already striking the right approach that we need of “start all over again” because this season’s wins/hard work count for nothing in next year’s standings.
As an added bonus for Chicago sports fans, the Cubs actually signed a sought after free agent and Bedard and the Blackhawks are trending upward generally. Caleb/PCA/Bedard, a good time to be a Chicago sports fan.
Hopefully this gets Jerry/Michael to get off their asses to finally build a competitive Bulls team.

Things are trending upwards. Strengthen merry positions in the draft, and build upon the year.
This season was Good. Next few seasons will be Better. When we win the Superbowl, that will be Best. Then we can let it rest.
It’s only begun
Over?! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?!!
I’m very optimistic about the future. We finally have a coach who truly hold player accountable, has a knack for bringing out the best in players and genuinely seems to have a unified locker room. We’ll see where it takes us but I have no doubt we’ll be in the mix each year.

I know we are all biased but I can’t help but feel that the playoffs would be so much more interesting with the Bears. Not just for us a fans, but for all NFL fans. Would’ve loved for Caleb to showcase his magic again for the national audience.
I’ve been saying if we win a Super Bowl soon that this season will always be brought up as when we finally found hope. It’ll basically be how people talk about 2018 but except we actually got better. Here’s to a bright future with yall 🍻
If you were in that building Sunday after the game you were upset of course…but there was this overwhelming sense of hope. Everyone knew we’d be back. And keep coming back. We have something different in chicago. Defense wins championships and defense is the DNA of our bears. No doubt in my mind were addressing that all offseason. My only hope is that we avoid blockbuster trades and keep drafting well. Also keep DJ. I think another offseason with Ben he will get even better
They were good this past season, but they’ll be _better_ next season
