  1. It’s so difficult to say how 2026 season goes. I could see us finishing just bombing completely and going 5-12. Or we could go 15-2 and dominate the league on a way to a Super Bowl.

    There exists a world where Andy pulls his head out of his ass and modernizes his scheme along with Eric B helping him. Patrick Mahomes quickly recovers from his knee surgery. We sign Breece Hall in Free Agency. Josh Simmons just goes nuclear and plays at an All Pro level and Mahomes has all fucking day to throw. Xavier Worthy actually starts to play good and Rice stays out of trouble and produces. The defensive line improves and Gillotte and Norman-Lott have year 2 leaps. We draft Caleb Downs to be that eraser on the back end. None of that is an unreasonable impossibility.

    Or we could just suck. Maybe Andy is simply washed. Maybe Mahomes misses the first 6 games. Maybe we cut Jawaan Taylor and Jaylon Moore then gets blasted all year long and gets Mahomes injured. The defensive line continues to erode and becomes one of the bottom 3 worst in the league and we simply get zero pressure. The running game continues to suck, and we again rely on Mahomes to be a superhero. Worthy continues to struggle. Nothing I wrote is unreasonable either.

    So who really knows?

  2. Just waiting to hear if Kelce is coming back. I’m not ready, want to see him for one more season.

  3. I think the conversation around Andy is reliant on the execution part. You could kind of see where if things went differently with some penalties, or if the WR ran better routes, or a stronger run game would help. I think the EB return was to clean up the execution because Nagy just wasn’t a disciplinary and Andy’s a known players coach. If we have another bad year the talks about Andy’s scheme being too predictable and washed will be hard to dismiss.
