1. This trade would improve the bullpen but make the lineup worse. Romero would be a boon but the bullpen has plenty of depth in it, it's just missing the true closer type guy we were all hoping would join and move Hoffman to a setup role. Great addition, wrong trade IMO. Lootbaar has had 1 season in 5 better than Lukes' 2025 and not a single one as good as Santander's best. Isn't a HR hitter and if you subbed him out 1:1 with ASD the lineup really lacks pop.

   I'd consider this trade if it was for Brandon Donovan instead of Nootbar but I'd still rather not give up ASD. People are saying he was never that great, even with BAL and you know what? There's probably even some truth to that but I am of the belief that not all WAR are created equally and ASD gets a lot of his WAR from hitting home runs, something we could absolutely use more of.

2. Why would the Cardinals want Santander. Cardinals are not going anywhere I don't see this happening.

3. Lars Nootbar is not filling any spot. Lukas is way better and this is a massive downgrade.

4. Rumours LOL. Rumour had it Jays had a chance to land Tucker & Bichette.

5. The Santander signing was dumb to begin with thats why I didnt understand why you guys were pushing for them to get him. Sure he may come back and hit 25-30 HRS but he doesnt fit this teams culture , Hes not great defensively , he strikes out alot , hes not a fit for this team… i saw it before they even signed him. If he wasnt hitting HRS he would be a liability to the team taking away ABs away from contact hitters. one ill timed strikeout can turn the whole vibe of the inning or game. seemed like he does it alot. If they can somehow find a way to move him im ALL for it. I really want them to match with the Cardinals and make a BIG TRADE.

   or any prospects not named Yesavage, or Jojo Parker ( I see parker being the jays next SS over Nimmala) id even be willing to trade Tiedmann

   plus some lower prospects

   for both those guys id do it in a heartbeat i just cant see the cards wanting to take on Santanders salary i think its like 15-16M or something

7. Really? They could add a 80 year old blind man with no arms and it would be a HomeRun Hoffman upgrade. Seriously, for a lot less than Hoffman has been paid I myself could have given up any one of the countless home runs he dished up … including the year losing pitch in the WS. My belief is that the Jays need bull pen strength to have a chance again this year ..

8. Stupid to even consider trading Santander after 1 injury filled season. We've seen what he's capable of when healthy.

9. Jays are happy with their position players and won’t move them unless it is for an upgrade and clear-cut starter like Nico Hoerner for example

10. Santander had shoulder problems last year , and every body that hated Santander, (casual fans) wrote him off , now want to trade him ??? Totally f–ing ridiculous. Let him have a bounce back year . He was good enought to sign with the jays last year as alot of big superstars wouldn't and signs with either the Dodgers or Mets. Furthermore his bat was looking good in the Seattle Mariners series which he still had shoulder issues which are apparently dealt with and on the mend .

17. Lopervido would be better than Nootbar and his 1.3 WAR. This trade is ridiculous. Donovan and Jojo, now we talking and we keep Santander.

18. First off! This trade will never happen. Come on giving up a 44hr bat for a average hitter Lars. But as far as Jojo Romero. He had a great season last with a 2.04 era out of the bullpen. That's one guy that would fit nicely in the bullpen perhaps take Hoffman spots.

21. Santander had a down year, I wouldn't go off of just one season. And Nootbar sucks, he only batted .234 with 13 home runs.

30. Lars would be a tremendous asset especially with Varsh testing FA next season but makes no sense to unload Tony Tater with no Tucker or Bellinger lefty power bat coming back in.
