2. I’m glad we didn’t get McDaniel. He doesn’t coach through injuries well, and if he did do well, he’d be gone in a year anyways

So most realistic case, offense wins them a game or two more, get bounced in the wildcard round in the playoffs (because our defense sucks) and then Bowles is around for another year and Zac is a head coach somewhere else. I just can’t bring myself to be optimistic until the organization gives me ANY evidence that they’ve learned anything.
   This was objectively a good maybe even great OC hiring though, so good on them for that. Just hope they don’t make the same mistake as Coen.

6. I am encouraged that Baker is so happy with this choice, but I still have reservations about the similarities in Grizzard and Robinson. Again their stats are nearly identical, and both received criticism for their inability to adjust, and for predictable play calling. It makes me nervous that we hired a guy with the same issues as the last guy, and Todd Bowles is also not known for making adjustments. These things are worrisome. I also don't trust Jason to focus on positions of need, because he doesn't have a good track record at it. I keep hearing that our secondary is fine and they won't be looking to improve it. No. No it's not fine. We are bottom 3 and we lost pretty much every game because we got no pressure on opposing QB's and our AWFUL secondary got picked apart. Ignoring that would be mistake number one. I am hearing more about tight ends than I am about pass rushers. Another tight end would not have gotten us into the playoffs, but a good pass rush would have. Nobody thinks we need help on the O- line which is getting older, thus all the injuries, but I disagree because we couldn't protect our QB, and he had to get creative too many times, and it got him hurt. I don't want to keep watching the same thing over and over.

7. Thanks for being one of the few to point out the positives. This is a really great pick from who was available and Baker wants him. I love that he knows the other defences in our division.

11. I've made my opinion well known about the hire: solid but not great and people complaining are still just pissed off Bowles wasn't fired. I mean, so am I but I had to move on even a little bit. I still stand by my plan to buy NOTHING with a Bucs or NFL logo (they get money from that, too) until Bowles is gone.. I'm not going to stop watching or rooting, somerhign that is important to me. This was a financial decision on their parts and if they can make things about money so can I. But I'm not going to abandon a team I supported in 1976-77 as a kid when they started life with a seemingly never-ending losing streak just because ownership is a bunch of money-worshipping turds. This is the hand we were dealt and we can't fire the owners. Whining on the Internet gets you nothing but a reputation as a whiner. Mad? Warranted and understable. Now, stop buying their crap and hurt them in the pocketbook. Otherwise, it's time to move on to next season or maybe it's time to find another team.

12. Not pumped for this hire. Was not my first…. Or second….. or even my third choice, but I AM excited to be made a fool of next season for underestimating Robinson. Welcome to Tampa, Zac! Let’s chase a ring 😎🏆

19. I do still feel like the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have taken a look at Nathan Scheelhaase but we will see how this year goes.
