I believe that Drew Petzing will be good for the Lions offense but I read this from SI.com this morning and it makes his hiring choice even better.

    How about because he matches the scheme Dan is trying to run? Who cares about the drama being invented here.

  4. I guess I don’t really get this whole narrative. Who the fuck cares if he was Ben’s groomsman? Why does that change anything at all and imply some kind of spiteful move towards Ben?

    Like, if I had a job somewhere and willingly left for another opportunity and that place hired one of my good friends to replace me, why is that a problem? I get that we’re talking sports and there’s rivalries etc involved, but still falling short with me I guess.

  9. This isn’t a power move, this is a jilted lover desperately trying to get back at their ex by dating her bestie. If we hired him for any other reason than being the best man for the job, and he most certainly ain’t, is a fucking dipshit move. I highly doubt Johnson is worrying about where his buddies are after the 1st season he just had as a HC, and if a division rival makes a dumbass move, and we did, all the better.

  11. Amon here. It’s time to get a life during the off season. Go build, grow, or do something positive in your life. When you return during next season you won’t have another off season fully devoted to something you know nothing about.

    When next season rolls along, it will be a welcome pleasure to watch the lions play whether they win or lose. This time you won’t have wasted days, weeks, months, in a laughable attempt to understand what went wrong last year and why the hire of a new ankle specialist could be the reason Goff becomes a dual threat.

    Let’s close up your war room in your mom’s basement. Throw those ciggies away and go check out the sun and go for a walk.

  12. I think it’s a combination of a decent fit scheme wise as well as us not wanting to play the waiting game with McDaniel. If he ends up taking the raiders job, the chargers are kind of screwed
