  1. Boycott the stadium.. this is complete bullshit I can’t believe this shit the Steelers died with Dan Rooney unfortunately art you are not good at this hand over they keys

  2. Talk about ownership not reading the room correctly and understanding your fan base. McCarthy is not anywhere close to who I would think about as a Steelers coach.

  3. Perhaps this is not about winning anymore. Perhaps this is about being different (from our successful parents) because I'm not really sure what the current Rooney's are doing since this obviously breaks from the family tradition. MAYBE the Rooney's have gotten too spoiled and want to keep saying MIKE and hired another Mike…I don't freaking know. But – what I do know is with Mike McCarthy at 62 and Aaron at 42, they BOTH should be relaxing on a beach somewhere. When neither the Coach nor the Player are racking up Super Bowl victories year-after-year for their teams at their age, there is NO need to continue playing or coaching at this point in their careers unless it's for "selfish" reasons. IF it's not for the TEAM, it's NOT going to produce "buy-in" from ALL the players. We have a handful of players who really deserve a coach who is going to bring them a championship, or I can see those players requesting a trade to end their careers elsewhere. If Aaron Rodgers, Arthur Smith, and Pat Meyer stay in Pittsburgh – it is a flashing bright signal that this is NO longer about winning, it is about who we want to give the fans money to, and I am sure we will have NO chance in the 2026-2027 season. This all sucks for Ohmar Khan who has put real gold on the team for coaches to work with… I would have understood McCarthy 9-10 years ago and I don't think he's a bad coach, but too little too late on this one.

  4. This is so sad! We needed a young coach! I’m from Pittsburgh I can’t believe they have a big mess! McCarty He isn’t good anymore! I wanted to Chris Shula or Nate S from the Rams! We need to move on a young coach not at 62 old McMarty! No Aaron Rodgers either he’s 42 old ! Please Mr Rodney change your mind !

  5. He's older and experienced winner & offensive minded, being brought in to bring stability during a sure transition period
Who he brings in as coordinatirs will matter

Media stuck in past just like most Steeler fans😢

I have been one for over 50 years now and always will be

  6. Why is it that there are so few possible head coaches. I feel like it’s the same names even in college football. What the hell is going on?

As far as Mike Tomlin it’s simple. Did they set him up to win it all? Did he have a roster with he should’ve have won it all where he underachieved

  7. Could’ve made this a better situation by bringing in McCarthy as QB coach or special assistant to team operations, no? Coach would still be able to decide his coordinators. That’s what Tampa Bay did with Bruce Arians….just seems like it was other ways to implement him without it being a reach.

  8. They act like William Howard ain’t even on the roster. Did everybody forget we drafted Will Howard and low-key? I believe he’s the nextbig ben we got a diamond in a row sitting on our roster and we looking everywhere for a quarterback, and he’s sitting right there in our face😂

  9. can someone explain to me why they are so disappointed in this announcement? I understand that McCarthy isn't popular. Other than being fat and old, why do people hate him? He's an offensive coach. He has a good record as a head coach, and won a good amount of playoff games. He's gotten a team to a super bowl and won it. are most peoples' reasons to be upset as shallow as it seems on paper? or are these traits genuinely disqualifying; are players not able to respect someone who doesn't look or sound like their conventional understanding of a leader?

  10. Not a Steelers fan but why all the negativity? Yall gonna be very quiet if he takes yall past the first round which Tomlin was failing very often🤷🏻‍♂️

  11. I'm guessing Aaron Rodgers had something to do with this, so he'll probably be playing at least one more year in Pittsburgh. Not good news for Steelers fans.

  12. I don't know why everybody hating on Mike McCarthy. He definitely a good coach. He had one bag here with the cowboys. Maybe two bad years with the Packers. Other than that he's been winning and he wins more than the coach y'all just had and that's a fact. Stop hating on that man. That's all people do is hate and talk crazy and about a good head coach who's proving to be a good head coach. Stop listening to these analysts go back and watch his teams. They were good
