🚨THIS IS WILD: 49ers Electrical Substation Theory Takes Another Turn; 49ers Injury Data, Joe Rogan
The San Francisco 49ers electrical substation injury theory has taken on a life of it’s own. Jon Feliciano first mentioned this on 95.7 The Game in San Francisco in early 2025 and then I got the conversation going with a viral post on X in October, which picked up 4 million views, then Peter Cowing a couple of weeks ago did a study on this with research, a substack article and went to Levi’s Stadium with a guasmeter to measure the EMF levels near the Niners practice field and that’s gotten the whole world to talk about this over the last couple of weeks.

People have been asking for data, studies and research, we’re going to get into that here on the show so I encourage you to watch.
Earlier this week, general manager John Lynch and head coach Kyle Shanahan were asked about this, because current and former players have brought up concerns about it and the 49ers injury issues have been so alarming for so long and the Niners said they have been and will continue to look into it because it has to do with the health and safety of their players and they’re looking to conduct studies into whether or not this is playing a role into the Niners injury woes.

Super Bowl 60 is at Levi’s Stadium in two Sunday’s. It will be a conversation then and it’s not going anywhere. I’ll be in San Francisco / Santa Clara for Super Bowl week, so I imagine we’ll be discussing it then.
On Thursday or Friday, Joe Rogan on the Joe Rogan Podcast and Joe Rogan Experience started talking about this story and level of virality has gone to another level because that’s the most popular podcast in the world.

The Washington Post cited Chase Senior in a story two weeks ago and said players have been reaching out to agents voicing concerns about this. Some agents think this could impact the 49ers in free agency, other agents think the Niners might have to move their practice field.
Christian McCaffrey is one of the 49ers players who has voiced concerns about the electrical substation being next to the 49ers practice facility and the potential dangers of EMF.
Since 2017-2025, the 49ers have 2,036 games missed, as recently as November this was the most in the NFL.

Since 2013, the 49ers have been top 10 in adjusted games lost every year except for two:
2013: 23rd
2014: 28th
2015: 27th
2016: 24th
2017: 22nd
2018: 26th
2019: 27th
2020: 32nd (most injured)
2021: 29th
2022: 24th
2023: 4th (one of the healthiest seasons)
2024: 32nd (most injured)
2025: 30th (as of late in the season)
The amount of soft tissue injuries is also concerning. This is where the potential EMF dangers leading to soft tissue injuries comes into play and we need more research here. When it comes to hamstring and calf tears – The 49ers have had more than 40 major or recurrent Grade-3 tears. That is higher than the league baseline of 12–15 major tears per team per decade.
According to Over The Cap, the 49ers had 20 players on a reserve list this season, which accounted for more than $95 million in adjusted annual value on their contracts, the highest amount in the NFL by about $20 million.

It’s just not the volume of injuries it’s injuries to their star players which is crazy.

Excellent topic. Well presented. Some biologic effects at high electromagnetic field stremgths – such as nerve stimulation and tissue healing – are well understood (Nat. Academy of Science, 1997). It is also well know that some people are more sensitive to EM radiation. So how strong is the EM field near
the 49ers facility? Does exposure and EM intensity change by location? Many questions but few scientific answers. Cool discussion for scientist 49er fans.
Real one this was fantastic the only way things get fixed answered is by questions this is how life has always worked

I am no expert on the subject of EMF ill leave that to doctors & scientists
The electrical facility vibration and sounds from the electrical facility ! That would cause injuries ! They need to move there practice fields. I'm telling you this is what we need ! And you need to be safe so there are no injuries ! 💚💚💚💚
And is it earthquakes causing the injuries ! 💚💚💚💚
Get them miles away from there STAT and permanently move practice facilities or move that substation. What an effin cheapskate ownership. $9B net worth of 49ers granted that’s now, not then, but $20M is, 0.22% of net worth now. WTF?!
Thanks for bringing up all the salients points you did. Important to note non contact injuries vs contact injuries.
Also something to note but number of games they’ve played viz other teams due to post season, so also more time at the practice fields.
Put new dirt at the practice fields ! You could put concrete under the practice fields !

Great report Chase. EMF is an environmental danger . Research will verify it as more emphasis is given to this field.
It is real…. Julia Roberts was “Erin Brockovich”. She’s a 49ers fan…. Get her on board to look.
They tried to silence and marginalize her. Look what she uncovered.

Real one Chase! Been with you for a while now. BTW. There is also the train track that goes right next to the stadium. Also, you mentioned the fiber optics, another concern. Ill try to make this quick. I have moved 15 times in the last 10 years or so. I lived next to sac state near power avenue for almost a year. During that time, I would have headaches, and more anxiety than usual. There was almost always a weird taste to everything I ate. I would go outside to shoot hoops at the apartment, and you could here the buzzing coming from the electrical lines. I'm not a professional athlete, but I remember being so happy to move from there. The top reason was because I felt like I couldn't breathe living in those apartments. If our NINERS! ..are going through this while practicing in 100 degree heat… SMH! God please move the team back to SF already!
It seems simple. high voltage power produces vibrations. google that. All these injuries including Brock’s toe is ligament related. Google ligaments .. excessive vibration is not good for ligaments. Google that. Could this be the explanation for why BA walked away?
I'm just asking this question, what are the possibilities that the 49ers moved back to San Francisco. If this is becoming a huge problem for the players, they should reconsider that option because of safety reasons.

Good reporting Chase
If it's not safe to practice their, then it might not be safe to play at Levi stadium.
One simple way to solve this all in the 2026-2027 49ers season. Shut down the practice facility the whole season 49ers temporarily adopt a new practice facility away from Levi's stadium while all the scientists do their research and also by 49ers not practicing at Levi's stadium it will show you how many players will get hurt when not practicing next to the Electrical substation. And now to fix this problem that John York cause by not moving it before the stadium was built. John York and his son can cough up the money for the new practice facility or buy the Great American park next door and put the practice facility as far away from the substation you can. Or option 2 move the substation in the Great American theme park far away from the stadium. The choice from one of these are yours York family. One thing you won't be able to do is brush this thing under the bed as you York family have been doing for years.
TWO CLOWN LOSERS since 2017 ran OUT OF EXCUSES now blaming PG&E. season ticket HOLDERS since 2014 should FILE LAW SUIT to Levis Stadium SCSC 👍 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Now I know why BA abandoned the team and I don't blame him

When was the last season all 22 paper starters played a single game together? My guess is over a decade for the 49ers.
