One thing to note is that for pitchers Wins and Losses are imperfect with projection models because they project more than are possible
But everyone is on the same scale so take that as you will
You can see from the IP how they are not all based on exact playing time
I don’t think it happens this year but I feel like the Phillies are *close* to falling off. They are basically just getting older, have a bad farm, lost Wheeler at least for a bit plus he’s retiring soon, and lost Ranger. Their offseason was what some fans wanted our offseason to be (run it back and add a few pieces). It’s starting to look like a Dombrowski team that he walks away from in a few years.
Still, I like what Stearns said in his presser: “Until we win the division, we can’t claim we’re at the top”
