Colorado Avalanche EMBARRASSED by Philadelphia Flyers – Hockey Mountain High
One year after the blockbuster trade that sent Mikko Rantanen to Carolina and brought Martin Necas to Colorado, the Avalanche have hit a low point after an embarrassing 7-3 to the Philadelphia Flyers with a horrible powerplay and overall horrible execution. Can they break out of this rut before the Olympic break?

Remember 2021-2022 Cale Makar who was making most of his shots? And laying out big hits every once in a while? This is AT LEAST the second time in a few games he's given the puck away on a power play that led to a goal against. If Makar's man is sitting right in front of the net and he's covering him, watch him next time.. he does nothing and will let the guy take as many shots as he needs. I've seen multiple games where he's literally just standing there, watching the guy. And after Manson had that career night a few games ago, he's fallen off as well.. Don't even get me started with Girard and his shadowing his man, but doing not much else.. As amazingly scary as the Avs looked in the first half of the season, there's a chance it'll all come crumbling down in the second half and just forget advancing past the first round of the playoffs playing like this.. they'd be lucky to not get swept.
