For a franchise with only one championship having seven numbers retired is a bit crazy in my opinion lol don't give me wrong. I love our cavs legends, but all of these gentlemen don't have jersey retirement resumes.

And there probably are 5 more in the pipeline- LeBron, Kyrie, Love, Tristan, and Mitchell.
I mean… just because they didn’t win a championship doesn’t mean they weren’t incredible players
Smith and Thurmond seem like the questionable ones to me
Edit: I guess Larry too, though not as bad
So the Jazz should retire John Stockton? The Magic should retire Dwight Howard? Philly should retire AI?
Larry Nance was never more than the third option on those teams, and played more games in his career with Phoenix. I love Larry, but he’s not rafter worthy
God ring culture has made sports so much worse bc now we get takes like this lol.
Hotter take, we don’t have enough jerseys retired.
I agree. Thurmond’s, Nance and Smith’s should have never been retired.
Yes.
I agree. Retired numbers in general are dumb. A wall of fame or banners hanging for great players is fine but the number should stay in rotation
