Acie Law IV was hired by the Nets in September and in addition to all of his scouting and personnel experience, he not only played in the NBA, he also played in Europe– clearly important in today’s age of global basketball.

4 picks in the top 45 is great for the NFL draft but doesn’t mean much in the NBA.
The 35, 42, and 44 picks are worth about 2 deep rotation players, nothing more. They have their own pick at 5, fantastic. Last years draft was not impressive, no matter how you look at it. Demin could be a rotation player non starter on a decent team, which is about average for the 8th pick. None of the others have given any indication they will be in the nba after a few years. This sub likes to kid themselves because the rebuild is not going well. It’s not hopeless but cannot pretend there is anything resembling a plan or someone the team can build around yet. Marks has done an objectively horrible job in the decade since he has become GM. With an unlimited checkbook, the nets have won one playoff series in 10 years. to expect the guy who drove the truck into the ditch to be the savior, is ridiculous
