None of this matters. Letting Sam go after those horrendous two games that mattered, made the most sense after we drafted a QB of the future.
Kwesi and KOC made the right choice. No reason to even think twice about it.
L for Vikings 😂
Enjoy JJ
Content for contents sake, I usually like your takes, but not today
…=we fucked up
Good job Sam. You had to carry the Seahawks tonight and with an above average play caller in Kubiak that set you up for success. You succeeded!
I’m very happy for Sam!
At the same time, I also remember how bad the feeling was after the Detroit and Rams games to end the season. If Sam (and frankly, the rest of the team) were at least competitive in those final games, I would have been 100% on board with bringing him back. But that bitter taste, along with so many holes to fill on the team, meant rolling with JJ gave us the most cap space to build.
Given our O-line struggles and questionable play calling this year, I don’t think Sam would’ve played as well as he is in Seattle. He very likely could’ve gotten injured, given JJ and Wentz’s injuries.
As long as Vikings aren’t in the dance, it’s gonna be easy to point fingers and say what if. Yet, we continue to love and cheer for this team because it’s what we do!!!
F the Packers
F the Bears
F the Lions
SKOL!
I'm happy for Sam. Seattle is arguably a better fit for him to be a winner — better o-line, better running game, better defense, etc.
During the NFC title broadcast, Burkhardt was starting to get annoying repeating "the Vikings 'got rid' of Sam Darnold" "Vikings didn't retain Darnold", and so on.
Like Sam wasn't a Free Agent? He didn't have a choice in the matter? Like the Vikings franchising him for 45 million and one year was comparable to 3 years 30 million per in Seattle?
The reason sam stepped up this year, and didnt last year in the playoffs, is because Klint Kubiak is a better play caller than KOC. Period. KOC had no o line and didnt adjust his game plan. He can be so creative some times, but also insanely stubborn.
Many people forget there are so many things and personnel have to happen in order to have a contender in the NFL, IMHO there was no reason to bring back a quarterback who chocked in the most important games of the year last season, we could have been number one seeding team in the NFC and everyone that watched the game knew it was because of the quarterback that we lost that chance. You don't want a quarterback who could chocke in the most important game of the season, I never forgave him for the Lions game and I am with trying to make JJM the franchise quarterback even if take two more years. We are fans and make our emotions rule us when we lose, Management and coaching make plans for years to come.
Sam Darnold is the first USC TROJAN QB to make it to the super bowl and it about to become the first to ever win it as a starter ✌️ FIGHT ON
Go 'Hawks!
Good for you Sam! This just proves the current Vikings organization is a total dumpster fire and has ZERO CLUE on how to develop and keep talent! The last 4 years of drafting and every guy leaving and becoming a better player somewhere else proves that! Sorry, but this years Vikings needs to tear the team apart and get as many draft picks for the loaded 2027 class and hit on the first 3 rounds this year if we're going to have a chance in 2 or 3 years. This current team is just too old, slow, and injury prone. Plus, we need a new offensive coach!
Our offensive line sucked
Yeah they messed up letting Sam go. I’m sure Seattle is thankful we did….
Kwesi and KOC must be very proud of themselves. Just another reason to get Kwesi's a$$ fired at least.
J.J. Ponder is our guy says every vikings fan. 😅
If I didn't have so many Vikings merch and because of Jetts, I would be looking for a new team.
From memory, this is the second time a player has left and has found great success or won it all (McKinnon was the first that came to mind).
Glad your team thought a 14 win QB was worth getting rid off. Go Hawks. Only people who really do not understand that it takes a team to lose as well as win. sad. OH it is Sam's fault get rid of him…LOL Dude if Geno won 14 games and lost out in the last part of the year and the playoffs. we would of paid him big money. It is crazy to get rid of a winner. that's what Sam is. 14 wins in one season sure goes farther than two losses at the end of the first year.
Jj sux should have kept sam
IDIOTS.!.!.!
skol sam! its well deserved, wish we kept him
Doesn't this mean Darnold is a better QB in year 5-6 of his career than KOC is a coach in year 5-6 of his career?
If you say no, it's the "system," then logic says Seattle's system is better than the Vikings, because they both had Darnold 1 year apart, both had offensive studs, and both had a top-5 defense.
That leaves coaching and the GM.
……………
Red Head Redemption!! 😂
Sam didn't fail the Vikings. The Vikings failed him with that suck ass offense line
Oh well. Brad Johnson was a Super Bowl QB too but that doesn't mean we missed out on anything.
Wouldn't matter if he stayed in Minnesota he wouldn't be in Superbowl if he did! Franchise is CURSED!
SO YOU KNOW! MINNESOTA VIKINGS ARE CURSED! WOULDN'T MATTER IF WE HAD HIM WE AREN'T GOING TO WIN THE BIG ONE EVER, I HAVE WATCH THIS TEAM SINCE THE 70'S….NOT HOING TO HAPPEN!
KOC IS NOT THE COACH TO WIN A SUPERBOWL BECAUSE HE IS STUCK IN HIS WAYS, UNTIL WE GET AN OFFENSIVE COACH WE ARE DOOM!
Sam Darnold won 14 games last year, Vikings said he is the problem and got rid of him.. That’s the most games a Vikings quarterback have ever won in history.. The next year he’s in the Super Bowl and now you idiots are still making excuses by blaming everybody but the person who got rid of him and some are saying it’s still was the right move!?!? Please release your emotions for J.J. And focus on facts
It mesns hold on, there's 1 more game Darnold has to play…
So, the Vikings line is/was just that much worse than Seattle's?
It’s been fifty years since the Vikings been to the Super Bowl .. S. Darnold first year he won 14 games with them and it was the most win by a Vikings quarterback ever!! Vikings management says let’s get rid of him and go with the unproven injury prone 2nd year rookie.. S.Darnold takes his new team which was trash before he got there to the Super Bowl. Vikings fan says it still was the right move..Smh this logic you guys are spitting out is buffoonery
Fire our GM and bring in competition for #1 QB. Let's go Sam!!!
A lot of Vikings fans aren't happy that Sam Darnold is going to the Superbowl and the Vikings are not. Personally I am very happy that Sam is going for the Champ and I hope he gets his ring. The Vikings went with JJ McCarthy who still might get Minnesota to the Superbowl. We just have to watch this space. 💜💛💙💚
It's not the same… sorry even if he stayed it wouldn't have been this good… sorry yall don't understand that
Fire Kwesi
It just shows us that it’s about coaching and not Darnolds play. Seattle had less talent and look where they’re at.

Greenard won’t be a Viking next year anyway.
