  1. What are your feelings about the Nets' recent play and their tanking direction? Would you like to see them change anything during the second half of the season?

  2. Tough to watch now but i think we all knew it would eventually look like this. I think there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we just need to hang in there.

  3. Idk how the Nets do it but they NEED to figure out how to get their 2027 1st back.

Idk if that's being a third team in a trade with Houston if they want to get a pg, and Brooklyn takes on whatever big salaries in that three teamer, seems unlikely, I can't even think of a pg Houston would want that is both realistic and good enough worth trading that pick so they can get that pg, or if they go the route of Phoenix and Utah last year where Utah packaged less good 1sts for a future Phoenix 1st, that sounds more realistic, but again, would Houston even want that? They're not exactly desperate for needing some extra firsts but I could see them doing it to continue building their team through trades in the future.

It would mean our rebuild is gonna be much more long term, but I think that's better for us. It would mean we can trade MPJ at the deadline, get more firsts which also compensates for firsts we trade to get our 2027 1st back , and not have to worry about the battle between whether we trade MPJ to maximize our 2026 1st and MPJ's trade value, and the need to compete for a play in spot in 2027, to a lesser extent it also would allow Brooklyn to trade Clax IF they want to, and we continue to just keep building in 2026, 2027, 2028. I like our rookie class but we can't just both assume one of them will become a star, and we will also get a star in the 2026 draft, and we are just gonna be fine and dandy and ready to start going in 2027 and competing after 2027, and also won't make Brooklyn rush again and trade picks for a star.

We really need to hold out and just be patient, and getting our 2027 1st back would be the key in the cog to a patient rebuild, and maximizing on the trade values of MPJ and Clax without having to worry about playoff positioning in 2027 or being ready to compete by 2028.

  4. Let's hope. Any of the top 4 picks would be really great, especially the top 2. We land AJ or Darryn and I think we instantly become a darkhorse team to at least make the playoffs

  5. Eric no disrespect towards you, But you spoke like a true casual fairweather nets fan. You can't be naive and think the league is going to award the Brooklyn Nets a top 5 draft pick after all this tanking. Nets tanked last season and didn't get a top 5 pick.
