Benson is going to get roughly 6 million per year for 7 years on his next contract. People are gonna be pissed, because it means tuch is likely leaving.
Then everyone is gonna forget they were pissed when he puts up 60 points and is Marchand lite for the next 7 years
Benny is annoying(which is a compliment,) but he doesn’t seem to take the cheap shot. I absolutely dig his game.

I think it’s important to temper expectations as Benson may never come close to Marchand’s numbers in his prime. That said, even if he tops out as a 60 point guy who can play in all situations and gets under the oppositions skin he’s still a huge success
