I know I lot of people don’t enjoy weather games like ours yesterday, but I absolutely love them personally. Legitimately feels more impressive/strategic/skilled to be able to win a chess match in which both teams are limited by external factors than to win a game in which both teams can just march down the field at will.
That one was for the second graders who finally get to see a Patriots team in the Super Bowl. Their long and agonizing drought is over.
Vrabel as a player has more SB experience than both teams combined.
Then add in McDaniels as an OC.
The only tactic we deployed this game was wearing white and checking the weather. We played it safe and remembered it only takes 1pt to win. Coming out without injuries is more important than a blowout that reveals more offense to your next opponent.
If Seattle is going into this expecting an 86y snowstorm performance from Maye, they will regret it. NE isn’t stupid enough to blow this, but history tells us Seattle is.
Is the “warriors come out to play” the team’s call to the fact they had to go on the road and bop their way through to the Super Bowl?? I know Mack was saying it in his stadium arrival. But then Vrabel said it twice after game??
So, someone mentioned on socials that since the Super Bowl is a Neutral site game, the teams get assigned home and road teams, and the Patriots are the Home team.
This means we have the choice to play in our White jerseys and the road team must adjust to our choice.
The last 3 Superbowls the Patriots played in and won, we wore our white jerseys…
And Teams wearing white jerseys have won the Superbowl 37 times in the past 59 Super Bowls (.627).
Sooooo, you know what you gotta do Team.
We have so much house money winning the Superbowl would just be a giant cherry on top
Schedule this schedule that, but I genuinely feel the Pats’ road to the Super Bowl will stand to us. Beat three of the top five (1st, 2nd, and 5th) ranked defenses to get there. Will have to overcome the 6th-best defense to win the Lombardi Trophy. Not just the defenses we beat, but we won some gritty, tense, and tremulous matchups. Yesterday alone, away in high altitude, hostile environment, decibel levels making it extremely difficult for the offense to communicate, frigid temperatures, blizzard conditions, wind against us in the fourth, and we managed to get through it relatively unscathed. The big thing for me was zero turnovers from the offense yesterday. That was a massive improvement, especially given the conditions. Seattle is a much more well-rounded team, but the games the Pats have had thus far will stand to them. They are battle-hardened.
People already talking about “insufferable” fans, we got two weeks of “fraud-schedule” malarkey
We beat the odds time and time again this year.
We can do it again.
I know we celebrate Super Bowl wins here in New England, but if ever in the last 20+ seasons there’s been a year where AFC Champion means something to me, it’s this year. Started 1-2, said “fuck, that’s not who we are” and haven’t looked back. It’s been messy at times, especially of late, but they’ve found a way to win week in and week out, and I’m glad they’ve got some sort of hardware to show for it.
r/NFL is extremely high on copium this morning. Oh and they say Seattle will roll.
Is Spillane ok?
Bill would be proud of this win
Bo nix or not, Denver’s play calling was awful. We have a chance and they don’t!
Ia there much talk of us going in white uniforms for the superbowl?
S/O Hunter Henry, dude joined the team at its absolute lowest point and has now been rewarded with going to a Super Bowl
Can we please not spend all of the next two weeks bitching about the “disrespect” from the media? This past week was the fucking worst. And guess what, Seattle will be prohibitive favorites, and rightfully so. Stop getting so worked up about it and just enjoy making the SB!
That game was amazing.
Henderson has completely disappeared this postseason
