The game shouldn’t have been played. The city isn’t in any sort of place to be focused on a sporting event.
Very insightful … as usual
It was bizarre. It was sad. We are suffering and it has nothing to do with the 5 game losing streak.
I really appreciate Steve Kerr and how often he speaks up.
Yeah man, we have actual Nazis going around beating, robbing and murdering people while the president applauds and encourages it. I guess you could say it’s bizarre and sad around here at the moment.
Evidently not Ant.
Steve Kerr and Doc Rivers, both can be polarizing as coaches, but are good persons with grounded views and opinions based on their real life experiences.
Insane this is where the country is at
There’s something funny about people trying to criticize Kerr when hes consistently shown to care about political issues and says the right things, and his dad was straight up assassinated by terrorists. Not picking and choosing the right words in the moment doesn’t change who he is as a person.
This is dope, the nfl would’ve never canceled a game.
Great coach. Great human. Fuck ICE.
Trump is literally destroying the fabric of American and international society as we know it in real time right now.
He’s always been this way. Never shying away from social injustices. Mad respect to him.
Was at a family party in MN today and it was just quiet. Everyone here is mad/sad/confused. It feels like an invasion and nobody is doing anything. Prepare your communities and think about what you will do when they do this in your town. I know I wasn’t emotionally prepared and I think a lot of us are still in shock. Get ready.
Yeah it’s almost like games should have been postponed indefinitely
I don’t think I fully appreciate the Warriors since I’m a Kings fan
Kerr is the best when it comes to speaking on moments like these
It felt so off watching the game like it doesn’t feel right to be focusing on basketball
When Steve Kerr says a vibe is ‘sad’ and ‘bizarre,’ it holds weight. He’s seen the darkest sides of what political and social violence can do. Massive respect to him for looking past the scoreboard and acknowledging that the human beings on the other side were hurting. Some things are just bigger than basketball.
I was there, he’s right. Was hoping for a distraction but the team didn’t show up so it was just another L for the weekend.
Felt that watching the game. The Wolves heads weren’t in it. Extremely sloppy. The crowd was quiet except when Ingles came in and hit a 3 and when Post was a free throw away from winning them free food. Totally understandable to not have your head in the game when your city is under siege by the federal government and your citizens are being executed in the street by secret gestapo without repercussions.
Kerr is the man for always speaking up about issues like this, seems like a good empathetic dude.
Kerr should worry about draymond hurting other players
This is the absolute inverse of Anthony Edwards “yeah I’m sorry you guys are doing bad so I guess I’ll support you or whatever” horseshit
So why even play?
Yes, tim walz incompetence has left his city in shambles. What a shame.
Nike’s Phil Knight donated 3 million to the Oregon Republican Party. Nike – Just shoot it.
Might be kind of unrelated to this specific post, but I just wanted to say how damn proud I am of the people of Minnesota. I am not American myself, but for the past years we have faced our own tragedies and have been protesting ever since, so for so long I saw everything crashing down over there and thought to myself “how isn’t anybody doing anything??”. I have to admit, seeing pictures of thousands and thoudands of people in the streets in freezing temperatures protesting for what is right brought a tear to my eye and gave me hope.
More of this shit huh? How long we doing this?
They’re suffering to watch
Thanks Kerr, as an immigrant and NBA fan, you made me think America still has hope with all the clowns and murders are in charge of this country
