What the fuck kind of Wolverine bullshit is this
Before anybody gets too excited, a red jersey is only relevant if there are other people on the ice. If they are just doing a solo skate they can grab whichever practice jersey they want and don’t need to use the no-contact one.
When Newhook and Laine come back, that’ll be 25 players on the roster (max is 23), 16 of which being forwards.
However, the roster limit no longer applies after the trade deadline.
So I’m sure they are planning to hold off Newhook’s return until after March 6, regardless of progress in his convalescence.

Either they put slaf back on the first line, bump Texier to the third line et they but Kapanen on the third line. Either way it brings a needed more offensive upside for line 3-4
Considering he broke his ankle I’d say it’s a great sign he’s skating at all, the colour of the jersey is irrelevant at this point.
