I’m with either Bain or Reese if we stay at 3 but if trade down then take one of the Oline men could be another Will Anderson I’m not as hung up in it as others but hey.
Would prefer Bain cause then we got Bain Walter Sweat and that combo heavy then we could more Rob inside also really want Bain or Reese.
If we stay at 3 and pick 1 of the Oline men in a class that’s not strong in Oline I would actually be disappointed.
Anyone have us trading down and taking Love and then drafting OL in the second?
Drafting a tackle at 3 is a massive reach get the best defensive player available we literally have evidence of this in 2023
Reese being the most mocked to us is pretty surprising honestly. I know we have endless jokes about taking LBs thanks to Keim Time, but Reese is an absolute stud and ranked the consensus #1 overall prospect by several draft experts. I wouldn’t be mad if we did take him, but not sure LB is the way we should go with so many needs…but BPA would probably be Reese if Monti goes that route while drafting.
Mauigoa vs Fano is going to be debated throughout the draft process. I lean Mauigoa as I value the “mauler” type OL more than the athletic/agile ones. I can’t properly explain why, but Fano concerns me with his size. Especially in this division. I’m honestly not that thrilled with either OT prospect at #3, but if we trade back? Sure.
Bain is the hot name recently because of the playoffs, but also because he just “pops” whenever you see him play. His arm length shouldn’t be a huge concern and if Monti feels like we need an Edge then we should be drafting Bain. Bain is probably the guy I want the most this draft.
Bain or Reese whichever the Jets don’t draft.
But if the new coach is MiLF, we may go offense in which Fano makes the most sense.
My preference would be Bain though. He would elevate that whole defense
