The Sixers are open to trading Andre Drummond, per Keith Pompey

  1. Weak ass move by our owner to try and get under the Salary tax.

Man up and pay that shit. Our most glaring issue is REBOUNDING.

  2. We need somebody to get more offensive boards. Wonder if he can get someone like that. Like a Drummond type

  3. If they trade him just so Harris doesn’t have to pay the luxury tax…I don’t know what I’ll do…but it won’t be drastic.

The disappointment with this franchise is at least consistent

  4. I don’t understand what the Sixers are doing with Drummond this year. He’s one of the best backup centers we’ve had in the Embiid era. He addresses probably our most pressing issue- rebounding. He’s been fine on offense and defense. What else could you ask for from the guy?

  5. So Nick Nurse is a shill who didn’t play our best rebounder in a game we got fucking decimated on the boards because the front office said we can’t have Drummond getting hurt… got it

  6. Fuck Josh Harris he’s our best rebounder and actually is kind of a threat from 3 now in the corner. Pay the tax and make a run. We need to trade grimes for a PF while we are at it.

  7. There’s something else going on besides the luxury tax because we’d still be $2M over the luxury tax line by trading him, assuming we take zero salary back in the trade. That’s not including the 10 day contracts we’ll have to convert in the near future.

I think they’re actually trying to trade him to improve somewhere or possibly he wants to go somewhere to get more minutes, because it would make no sense to dump him and still pay luxury tax. I could be wrong, but I’d let this one play out before assuming it’s for luxury tax reasons.

  8. Is this an apron issue? Will the Sixers be restricted in the future? Or, is this purely about money??

  9. Unironically our best center for the first half of our season thus far and by far our best rebounding center. Absolute failure from ownership/the FO if he has to go. Bum ass team ain’t winning shit.

  10. To everyone getting upset about this, i absolutely promise you drum would not be getting a single tick of time in the playoffs, bona might not be much better but him being such a good rim protector absolutely makes him more valuable and playable come playoff time, barlow will now also play more time at center which im interested in

  11. Chuck Bassey is a better player than Andre Drummond (and Bona) so the Drummond hive needs to relax. The Sixers wouldn’t be any worse if they just cut Drummond so let Morey cook.
