  1. Colin so you comment on a team rebuilding and then say “I don’t know what their draft picks look like” ?? Great research dude that would take like 30 seconds to Google, but just so you know Steeler’s have 12 including 5 in the first 3 rounds 😂

  2. Rooney’s have quit on the fans! Klint kubiak is a young chuck noll… noll played under offense under Paul brown coached with Sid gillman mike not the answer neither was Chris Shula!

  3. McCarthy's offense was seen as predictable and outdated in Dallas. He only runs up the middle, sticks to conservative plays, kind of like Arthur Smith but even worse. Kept failing in playoff games so Dallas fired him. Gonna be a disaster.

  4. Absurd that hiring from Pittsburgh is our thing. It’s not our thing. It’s Art II’s thing. So is not winning super bowls. Our thing was bringing in a young, hungry head coach. Not a recycled disgraced 62 year old. Even as someone who quit watching NFL this enrages me. Time to put Art II out to pasture

  5. 11:00 the only pushback is good teams who trade up for a good qb in the draft tend to do better than tanking teams who get a top 3 pick. look at the chiefs and ravens

  6. I thought for sure that Colin would be the only person defending this awful decision only because McCarthy is an offensive head coach

  7. That just shows that Rooney has lost what his father had because nine and eight or 10 and seven and getting slaughtered in the first round of the playoffs is not Steelers football sorry that’s why Tomlin had to go because he gets outcoached a lot

  8. Please don’t lump in that Steelers fan wanted this. We don’t care if he’s from Pittsburgh. That’s a dumb thing to want someone just because they’re from Pittsburgh. Rooney has to sell the team. He’s not a savvy business person. Where is Omar in all of this?!?! We wanted a future thinking young fresh person. We wanted Shula!!!!

  9. Only starters over 30 are Ramsey Tj and cam. 2 of those might be gone next season.
    CB – JPJ is young
EDGE – Herbig and Highsmith are young and our DL is also young aside form heyward

  10. steeler on offense have 2 decent changeup backs, 2 maybe 3 decent linemen even tho they used like 5 early picks on it the past 3 years, 2 wr and 2 decent tes. Other then that they need a every down back, a starting tackle cuz jones isn't it and another guard. also need a qb unless howard gets the go, its alot. Maybe McCarthy can get somethin out of that line because tomlin and that oline coach who's name i don't even know couldn't get them to do a damn thing. I think the offense roster is better talent wise then shown including that line, maybe McCarthy can get what tomlin couldn't out of them, I'm not goin judge until I see next year.

  11. I don't know which is more rare an occurrence: The Steelers changing head coaches, or me agreeing with Cowherd.

Now, I don't believe Tomlin was the issue. The issue (IMO) is the front office, which is reinforced by the fact AR2 thinks they're still in "win now" mode, when they've been in "rebuild" mode for almost a decade. Kahn is nothing but a shell game guy, turning the roster over year after year, often with big names past their prime. Am I the only one who sees this? And now they do a complete 180 from what has always worked for them, and go old offensive coach.

If I'm wrong, I'll be thrilled. But this team is DOOMED. This team is now the AFC Dallas Cowboys. Get ready Tomlin haters, you had it wrong the whole time. The problem was never walking the sideline, it was, is, and will forever be sitting in the sky box. Careful what you wish for.

  12. Cowbrain seems oblivious to reality. Praising the Rams yet forgeting that they got beat by a DF coach. Arnold was paid pocket change because he wasn't thought of to be the next Stafford or Brady. I guess cowbrain likes to talk about offense because it makes him sound smsrt.

  13. 8:10 “it doesnt get much better”

Meanwhile those teams havent done anything for the better part of 2 decades. They are the bottom feeders now idc about their history

  14. He likes will Howard I guess so maybe just let him start and see what you have with him. Yes I know he’s a 6th round pick but we won’t be contending so why not roll the dice. He gets the best of qbs so maybe just MAYBE, will could be something

  15. "That's not the Steelers – come on, John. Noll, Cowher and Tomlin were all early 30s and none had head coaching experience prior to being hired in Pittsburgh. This is different from their norm! Tells you that none of the younger guys in this cycle wowed them.

  16. Yeah. You know hes coming back. The Mindset is we can get him better weapons, we can protect him better, and Hes ok with McCarthy. I will tell you now. They will go 5-12. This is a terrible idea.

  17. I think the McCarthy signing is an indictment on how the Steelers view this upcoming QB class and not wanting to bring in an inexperienced HC to maneuver those waters. I’m sure that’s not all that went into it, but has to be a portion.

  18. Purdy was a late round QB as were many others. How many first round QB’s were busts? It all comes down to coaching, scheme, and play calling. If McCarthy gets good OC/DC we will be fine.
