He’s got a point

  1. The pinstripes? Why? The city connects and those shitty new blue alts are the low hanging fruit here

Besides, they’d probably get rid of the blue piping and orange drop shadow if they brought back the snow whites anyways

  2. If they’re not gonna bring back the CORRECT black unis then have these replace those dull monstrosities we have.

Also ditch the pullover jersey and bring back the old blue away’s from the 2010s. No idea why they went away from those in the first place.

  3. Nah, the 1969 Miracle Mets wore pinstripes. The pinstripes are classic Mets.

If there’s anything that I want for the uniform, it’s not the return of the Snow Whites. It’s a return of the racing stripes 80’s uniform as a City Connect homage for the 40th anniversary of the 1986 Mets.

  4. Dont mind the pinstripes. Don’t mind all of them except the city connects. The only part of the CC’s i like is Senga’s name in Japanese. Also agree maybe bring back the correct black uni’s. But again, I don’t mind them newer black ones.

  5. In fairness all the new uniforms have just been awful. But that doesn’t just go for the Mets, that’s across the league. The writing without piping is illegible from a distance, the blue uniforms with orange letters look like spring training uniforms. The city connects only look good if complemented with purple under armor. We need to just bring back the uniforms from like 3 years ago

  6. Terrible take on the pinstripes. The snow whites are an ok variant but the home pinstripes and the road grays (with the piping) should be the standard.

  7. Does anyone know why they included pinstripes in the first place. Blue and Orange colors for the Giants and Dodgers but neither of those teams wore pinstripes as far as I know.

  8. Why does Cohen take this to heart? Listen, if his portfolio managers weren’t making him a fortune, he’d bag them. I understand his hands are tied by the CBA but fans have every right to shit on players when they don’t perform.

  9. While we’re on the topic of jerseys bring back the home blues those are my favorite Mets jerseys.

  10. To me, white uniforms are kind of boring unless you dress them up with stylish cleats or noticeable socks. My favorite uniforms are City Connects.

  11. It’s fascinating how thin-skinned and petty billionaires seem to be.

It’s a shame that he is showing such animous towards the fan base these days, especially considering it is over some well-deserved criticism he and his team have earned since he failed to deliver on his stated championship window.

  12. While we’re all talking bring backs, bring back the road grays and for the love of god make them in women’s sizes! I’ve been waiting for like 7 years now. I don’t even know if they ever made them officially i in women’s sizes or not, I just remember when I finally decided to get an official jersey that’s what I wanted and was very disappointed to see it was only in men’s and kids. And the kids fit didn’t look nice on me.

  13. Never ever ever ever get rid of the pinstripes. They are our best looking uniforms imo.

  14. The only Mets uniform I really disliked was when “Mets” had the underline.

I like City Connect, I like the Snow White, I really like the late 90’s and 2000’s black, and of course the classic pinstripe. Road greys are great. The blue pullover is meh.

  15. He should make them wear citi connect jerseys for an entire series everytime somebody complains

  16. I know it’s not a popular suggestion, but get rid of those goddamn gimmick uniforms. At home, I need orange/blue/white, that’s it.

As an example. Let’s say years from now we are celebrating Nolan McLean’s major league debut. I have the clip on my MacBook. Here’s a screenshot.

Ooh I bet it’ll look all nice.

Oh. The iconic…grays. Where’s my orange and blue??

Yeah yeah I’m aware that there’s money to be made on alternates…but uniforms have a lot of appeal in being, well, uniform. It’s part and parcel of the team identify. How often do the Yankees wear alternate uniforms at home?
