Solak’s not wrong 😭

  1. This is extremely stupid. Multiple guys have gotten head coaching jobs after being the OC for the eagles.

Solak is a hack and if you let this outright lie form your opinion of the eagles you are an idiot.

Edit: your downvotes mean nothing to me. You are upvoting a statement that is provably false because unlike the Defense of the Dark Arts position most Eagles OCs continue to have successful careers after being here.

  2. I just find it hysterical that people think this is all about the Super Bowl MVP QB and has nothing to do with (A) the manchild HC (B) the disgruntled WR1 (C) the significantly regressed OL and (D) the previous OCs house getting vandalised.

But yeah, it’s only an indictment on Jalen Hurts. Ok.

  3. Solak has zero connections to the team. It’s one thing to look at his analysis (which id also argue has also gone downhill over time, but fine, he certainly has a better grasp than most), but he’s never been an insider with team sources.

The one time he did attend training camp, he was focused on Donnel Pumphrey for fuck’s sake.

  4. You guys have to stop. Don’t freak out that an OC from a playoff team didn’t take a lateral move

  5. Solak is the man, this is hilarious. Everyone relax. I like that they’re taking their time.

  6. Am I worried? No. Have the Eagles absolutely Penn stated this thing? Yes.

Clarification: I’m not talking about child rape.

  7. I had thought of the Defense Against the Dark Arts comparison. That being said, if Steichen is Quirrell, means we’re at the Deloris Umbridge stage. The next one would be Snape who would kill Dumbledore, I mean “get Nick fired.”

  8. And nothing says Horace Slughorn like Jim Bob Cooter.

Edit: My 12 year old self is so disappointed in me….

  9. I mean, last two OCs and a DC we’ve hire from outside got that HC job they were after. We only egg in-house promotions.

  10. This guy is gonna be the next big coaching hire. Let’s just can Nick and start fresh with this guy.

  11. So, one thing I’ve noticed in this hiring cycle is that plenty of candidates are “withdrawing from consideration.” Philip Rivers for the Buffalo job, for example. It might be the new agent speak for “he’s not getting the job so we’ll pull out first.”

  12. I’m starting to wonder if working with Nick is the issue here…or possibly the pay isn’t high enough?

    Something is wrong.

  13. Has anyone considered we’ve quietly denied these guys? We’re assuming everyone getting signed to teams are SB quality play callers or OCs. I’m cool with a slow process.

  14. Idk about that, but it feels like we are also cursed to never have a OC for more than one year.

    Atp I buy into this

  15. I don’t think anyone wants to work for Sirianni personally. If the new OC calls all plays Sirianni is a lame duck and if they don’t no one wants the job.

  16. This comparison makes no sense. Our OC’s get promoted to HC more often than not. They’re not getting run out of town, despite how the fan base feels

  17. Once again, I will do it. You can egg my apartment, call me a total dumb ass, and pay me half of whatever the lowest OC is making. I will have RPO, AJ slant routes, Smitty deep balls, Saquon up the middle on first down (to give WIP something to bitch about) and I will swing fully in the opposite direction. Grip it and rip it Hurts. We will make Jameis Winston look like child’s play with 50 touchdowns and 50 pick sixes

  18. That would mean Kevin Patullo is Dolores Umbridge. I’m not sure that’s fair. She was more well-liked.

  19. Does this make Kevin Patullo out to be Gilderoy Lockhart or Remus Lupin? đŸ€”

  20. Long as we don’t bring in Gilderoy Lockhart I’m cool
let’s get a Lupin or someone similar.

  21. Great, so the next OC we hire is gonna have Chip Kelly’s face growing out the back of his head?

  22. Read that he’s looking to get a HC job next cycle, so staying put makes the most sense. Also, if true, he’d be a one season out, so not something we’d want. Nothing to panic about. No coordinator job is undesirable. 32 OC jobs in the whole world. Some are more desirable than others, for varying reasons, that sometimes depend on the candidate
