With the history of Pittsburgh sports franchises and their success, the standard is naturally higher. Winning seasons and deep playoffs have been the standard, and with the roster talent we’ve had, its not unreasonable. The last 30 years of Pirates baseball have grounded a lot of us, which is why Id say our reactions tend to be comparably tame. Idk just my two cents

Pretty wild that 2 of my 3 favorite teams went from legendary to poverty…
More like a victim of spousal abuse. And Rooney is the “door” we keep running into and getting black eyes.

I am a giants fan who married into a steelers family.
You goddamn right you’re spoiled, but not because the giants suck in comparison. Its because I am also a spoiled yankee fan and i see a lot of parallels in the fandom.
Literally no other team wanted him.
Given the number of open coaching spots, there must be a lot of spoiled fan bases out there.
Don’t blame the owner for making a bad decision; blame the fans for hating the fact that the owner made a bad decision.

Considering the national media defended Tomlin at every goddamn corner like some sort of cult, constantly overlooking his faults and making him out to be this perfect coach who can do no wrong, forgive me for not giving a flying fuck what they think.

Folks we gotta realize by now that media coverage is about views and engagement, not about offering factual, objective information. They’re saying it because they know it’s a shit hire and gaslighting fans is way more profitable than having us all agree with them and leaving rival fans without fuel to talk shit.
I guess we’re all assholes for wanting playoff wins and Super Bowls. *shrugs*

Because the national media doesn’t give a shit, and has 0 idea of how our recent history has gone, they see “9-8, must be good” and don’t see the team being held together by devil magic, old ass people, and flukey bullshit. They don’t know the ins and outs of the team, why its constantly blown out in round 1, and why the team is just as far away from the Super Bowl as the Jets and Browns as people like to drag on.
The same national media that is stoking the flames of civil war and ignoring our fascist administration. The same own by billionaires like our dumbass owner. Fuck them in every hole.
So ? 🤷🏾♂️😂 I think we’re pretty reasonable. We haven’t won a playoff game in a decade and it’s Groundhog Day . We want to win just like everyone else , not just have an above 500 season . They act like we’re supposed to just be happy that we’re above .500 and that we’re supposed to love a coach that comes in as the oldest coach we’ve hired and has the same resume as the coach we just had , just because “He’s a winner!” . Wtf boy im so tired of that phrase , technically we’ve been winners for the last decade too .. we just haven’t won anything significant🤦🏾♂️ .
