Love Luka – so much so I joined the lakers as a permanent fan. He slayed tonight and has been on a strong upward trend over the last 5 or so games, and even more so with his defense. Luka can put up numbers and that is what makes him Luka, but I think we should be cheering his defense more.
Even more so than cheering Luka, we should be applauding the role players. Games like this for Luka only happen because the others do their role – hit shots, take care of the ball, hustle, etc. The common denominator between winning and losing is the role players performance. When we lose, we rip the role players and bench. When we win and the bench and role players do great, we should be making a huge deal about it.
