So?
Too bad he can’t burn his entire pen in one inning. I liked La Russa, but let’s not kid ourselves. His bullpen management made Bochy look like an amateur and Boch loved his matchups.
Tony La Russa accomplished a lot in MLB, but the game left him behind years ago.
I know Tony V has a lot of obstacles ahead to lead this team to success, but every story I hear just makes me want to root for this guy even more.
He still has to prove it on the field, but the fact he’s still staying humble and reaching out to all the resources Buster has provided as well as his other peers in the league for advice shows he wants to learn every advantage to succeed.
In the end, this may not be enough without the talent producing what’s needed to win, but at least the vibes are good until the games get going, lol.
I’m sure a guy born during WW2 will have lots of relevance in today’s game
