Mets Fans Are BACK IN After This Monster Rotation Move

Boomer & Gio break down a rare feel-good baseball morning in New York as both fan bases get reasons to smile.

The Yankees keep Cody Bellinger in pinstripes, while the Mets finally address the biggest remaining hole by landing frontline starter Freddy Peralta. Boomer and Gio explain why this move completes the Mets’ rotation, why patience around David Stearns was always the right play, and how Steve Cohen continues to back up his vision.

The conversation dives into roster construction, defense up the middle, positional flexibility, the state of the Mets’ farm system, and why some offseason narratives simply no longer hold up. Plus, what the Yankees’ quiet offseason really means, how Bellinger fits back into the lineup, and why both teams enter spring training with legitimate optimism.

From rotation depth to long-term planning, this is a full picture look at where the Mets and Yankees stand right now.

  1. The core didn’t get its chance trade tong now they probably trade him next this Atlanta braves in 1990s pitching staff they would have competed for championship peralta will be one year rental this team won’t beat the marlins they ruined the franchise

  2. I went to 25 games last year this team is worse franchise in baseball this is why Yankees win we stink if they had that core sproat tong and maclean they would sign bats and use farm system you will see Jed Williams steal 30 bases for Milwaukee and hit 300 this is why the Mets stink peralta stinks and will run after one year rental

  3. I never thought there could ever be a fan base as emotionally erratic as the Toronto Maple Leaf fans, but Met fans are getting close in recent times.

  4. For the same price, the Mets could've had Alonso Palonco Lindor Baty in the infield, Soto Robert Nimmo in the outfield, and keep diaz, and still make this trade. I would take this instead of what we have.

  5. Getting Peralta is a big time move however, to say this team is better than last year is questionable. Losing Diaz, Alonso, and trading away Nimmo and replacing them with Bichette, Semien, and an injury-riddled Robert doesn’t really move the needle. Also, the rotation outside of Peralta and McLain is very suspect and the bullpen hasn’t really upgraded since last year. Pump the brakes on saying this team is better than last year because it still needs improvement for me to be sold on that.

  6. They traded years of plus play from two top prospects, for ONE season from a guy who stinks after the 4th inning. Mets are destined to be a last place team (especially with their clueless Manager).

  7. The real question mark is the power in the lineup. We are more constructed to be a contact hitting team. There is no one outside of Soto that anyone really fears to be a game changer with one swing of the bat. Are you telling me that the new additions are going to make up for the loss of 60+ HRs we lost lossing Pete, Brandon, and McNeil?

  8. Helsley and mulllins and rogers were the answer last year and look how that panned out. I refuse to get excited over a panic signing that signed here only because someone gave him a stupid amount of money, and don’t even get me started on signing a failed ny closer and signing that failed ny closers replacement from last season too, you can’t tell me anyone in the Mets front office is confident with Williams after signing weaver. Cannot wait to watch this team crumble.

  9. I love that this fanbase thinks adding Bichette and Peralta makes them world beaters. They are nice additions and it’s better than doing nothing…but let’s be realistic here. This doesn’t get you remotely close to getting past LA.

  10. What a clown. Soto done throwout so many runners. Insane how much this guy hate us. Talking nonsense. Soto has a way better arm then Judge aka spaghetti arms Aka strikeout king.
