Some Brock Purdy love.

  1. Didn’t read the article, but it’s obviously he earned every fucking penny. Go Niners.

  2. People who have actually watched brock enough knew there was nothing to worry about, but this season definitely validated that the extension was a huge W for the niners. In 2 seasons Brock likely won’t be in the top 10 QB salaries and he is without a doubt a top 10 QB in the NFL.

  3. Brock isn’t anywhere near my list of things I’m worried about for the future

I’ll admit I was slightly worried when he was coming back and had those picks, especially with the stats about his picks in the last 20 games at the time. But he got better every game as the injury went away I assume. So yeah, not worried at all. He’s solid top 10 QB with potential for more with good support

  4. He proved he’s a damn good QB and that Shanny and Lynch should be ashamed of themselves for failing to provide him with a rock solid Oline. He also needs a true WR1 since aiyuk is off to the loony bin, Ricky is made of glass and refuses to wear knee caps and third and Jauan is most likely gonna leave us. Even if we drafted a wide receiver, he wouldn’t see the field anyway as Kyle seems insistent on never playing rookies so he’d probably get red shirted like cowing and watkins and who knows if those two are even any good.

  5. If you gave Purdy JSN and Cooper Kupp he’d break the damn single season yardage record I guarantee it.

  6. He’s too short. He has a noodle arm. Game manager. Dink and dunker. Captain Checkdown. Jimmy G 2.0. He’s surrounded by the Avengers. It’s all Kyle’s system. Any QB could win there. He’s not clutch. Turnover-worthy plays. He threw 4 interceptions in a game once. Takes too many risks. He’d be average on any other team. He wears his hat backwards. His last name rhymes with “Turdy.” /s

  7. Multiple games this season were won off the backs of Purdy and CMC alone.

Dude did the exact opposite as other QBs who got paid when they lost their talent. He stepped up and became the 2nd best player on the field (CMC exists afterall) in most of his starts after the Panthers game

  8. His cap hit this season wasn’t even that bad. It was only 9 million and then it jumps to 24 and 30 million the next two seasons. The season after that it REALLY jumps to like 55+ million.

  9. You know, I made a post about this not to long ago questioning the kid… Now I am convinced, there is a reason high level QBs talk about Brock the way they do. Kids a stud and if he continues to grow he could be at the very top someday. Go niners

  10. Dudes a baller. A lot of the games we won this season were due to him and of course CMC. Get this man an o-line and we’re winning a Super Bowl.

  11. Niner fans believed in him after the Brady game. It was that quick.

One week: “ok …. Ok….. Got some spark.”

Week two: “Mother of holies, is this it????. This is it!!!!!”

    Two weeks.

  12. Shanahan needs to bend his scheme to Purdy’s strengths rather than trying to fit Purdy into his idea of a quarterback, especially if they aren’t going to give him O-line support.

  13. Can we please finally build a line around him?! It’s fine if you dont want to spend prime capital on a WR, i’m sure we can find a great piece later on in the draft but we NEED a beastly O Line that wont get bullied.

  14. Honestly, the reason Brock has INT is because of lack of separation. He has to throw in such dangerous and tight windows. Give him someone whom can separate and I wouldn’t be too worried. I love Brock.

  15. Brock is the first 49ers qb that I have gotten to watch where I feel that he can win games by himself. While the seahawks games went terribly, i had hope cause he was our qb lmaooo.

  16. I was just old enough to watch Steve Young in his prime and remember it. Purdy *might* be better at times (I know, I know, I know! But no, really. Just being honest). He’s still early in his career to really make a comparison that doesn’t feel like I’m over stating. But I will hold that he’s at least AS good as Young was by the eye test, and that’s got me so excited to watch him hit the field in Crimson and Gold.

  17. Seahawks fan here. Somehow, it took myself until this year to admit that he is very very competent. He’s not perfect, but is extremely accurate and can improvise well.
