[Russini] Source confirms that former Giants interim coach and KC QB coach Mike Kafka will be joining the Lions’ staff. Kafka interviewed with NYG for its head coaching role and also spoke with Philly about its OC position before electing to join Detroit.

Guess as the QB coach for the Lions because they already have a new OC
Once they brought in Bieniemy and stuck with their current QB coach Girardi – who they’re pretty high on – there really wasn’t anywhere to bring in Kafka.
I am curious to know what is going on in Philly. That should be a good role to get.
Kafka should have got an OC gig imo. Pretty huge win for the Lions.
