I must have woken up angry this morning…….. Something about that out of no where jump/leap line bugs me, just seems a bit disrespectful for a guy who hit 21hrs with 70+ RBIs.
That’s already solid production any team would kill for on a mid to lower half order bat
Edit to add: if this guy is forecasting that Barger is going to be the next MVP sure. I’d buy it.
But to say out of no where for his actual production is kinda discounting it. Comparing it to a guy who went 3 hr to 20 and 30 RBIs to 100.
Similar jump would be historical numbers for Barger. Kinda unrealistic.
Maybe I’m just looking at a potential 35hr 100 RBIs as a realistic, not sudden, based on more consistent playing time and being in the majors the whole year
Guess what I’m trying to say is, my opinion, he already had his out of no where breakout

It funny – if you look at Perdomo’s Savant page from before his breakout, it’s almost the complete inverse of Barger’s.
