Eagles try to hire an at best DECENT OC challenge: impossible.
Kayvon Paddolu hiring incoming
Is it bad that I think Jon Gruden isn’t a bad option for our offensive coordinator at this point?
Just here to watch everyone tweak
I was already not feeling confident about our OC hire, but now with losing Daboll, I feel significantly worse.
I’m starting to think there’s some bad blood between Daboll and Barkley after his Giants exit…
Big Dom for OC
Serious question, because I’m behind. Did he not want the job?
This is what egging the OCs house does. Nobody wants to come here.
He was in fact serious about the titans
It’s going to be Nagy and to be honest I wouldn’t mind it too much.
Chiefs problems go a lot deeper than him IMO
I can understand why. Yes we have a ton of talent on offense but the environment isn’t the best. This city will make it hard for anyone who doesn’t succeed right away. They have to think about their family too. Fans threw stuff at the last OC’s house
I mean, would we really be happy to hire him as our OC?
Just call Nick Foles.
Can someone explain why people are so high on Daboll and so upset that the Eagles missed out on him? The guy has a rather mediocre record other than being on the Bills staff when Josh Allen made a leap and being a staff member for some college and Super Bowl teams. It’s especially bad as a head coach.
Daboll sucks. Glad we didn’t get him.
Is Doug Pederson still around?
Why did Daboll do that to himself?
I’m surprised there is such competition for this guy
I’ll be the offensive coordinator
All those coaches we will not get is not problematic in my eyes if we take each individual case (with the exception of McDaniel). It’s the pattern that scares me….
Jim Bob Cooter come on down.
This OC search is NOT a good look for Sirianni
Some of these prospects need to share why they opted out
Not losing any sleep over him. If he thinks Tennessee is a better opportunity for him, then that’s telling enough about his decision making.
Great news because I personally don’t like offensive coordinators who look like they film videos of themselves complaining about woke from the front of their lifted Dodge Ram.
Everybody avoiding the obvious.
Nobody wants the job. And I think it’s because they don’t want to work with/under Sirianni
Oh look, Dianna Russini was right, what does she know that this sub doesn’t? 🤔/s
I’m glad all these coaches are denying this job, cat is out of the bag now with the delusion from this fanbase that this is the most attractive OC opening.
At this point it’s time to see if anyone who stayed at a Holiday Inn Express last night wants the job
Not sure who we’re gonna hire, but I doubt will be able to say he is definitively better than Kevin Patullo and that’s kinda scary.
Nobody likes us…and we care 🙁
Hear me out.
Let’s see what Brian Johnson is up to…
Is Brad Childress busy?
We’re gonna hire the ice cold beer guy who walks the stands soon
Daboll was the one worried about eggs
Bro why is the football Gods doing this to me🤦🏽♂️
Did Kellen Moore tell the whole league that it was like pulling teeth to get Hurts/ Sirianni to try anything other than spam 4Verts + QB Draw + 4Hitches ?
At this point nobody wants to join for a year for a likely lame duck HC
Lmao this man chose the titans over Philly. There might be a serious problem with the OC void now.. tons of upside but not many are willing to risk it I guess.
Let’s pretend that from the onset Howie and Lurie were serious about a new direction for a stale offense. I would think the only guys who would be able to be offered full autonomy without Nick interference would be a small subset including guys like Daboll, Kingsbury, McDaniel, etc. Turns out these were all pipe dreams. I don’t think anyone else remaining, including guys like Nagy, has enough cachet to have Nick back off, so certainly Frank Smith, Jim Bob, and any young whippersnappers are not going to either. So Nick’s dressing down was we’re not going to hire one of your buddies, but we’re going to try to get a fresh face in who we can still pull strings, keep all of Nick’s other coordinators – shit, we did it with Kellen Moore.
Chances are (tongue in cheek, wink-wink), there won’t be enough Saquon lightning in a bottle to save this guy’s ass (like he did Kellen’s) but it’s his only chance, gotta suck it up and take it.
What I’m concered is that this time around the OC pool they’re playing in is even weaker than when Kellen was available, they got lucky with him cos he was desperate. Now there’s more decent openings and guys have to be a lot more hesitant to go with Nick now, knowing they’ll fall hard for his shitty offense which they don’t really want to change.
Conspiracy theory time: They’re gonna plant an anti-Nick expose in The Athletic in the next 10 days, then fire him and bring on Klint Kubiak as head coach.
That’s what the delay is all about.
Has there been anything on Scheelhasse?
I think people misunderstand the task before Daboll. Titans job is much more representatives of the head coach job he’s trying out for.
Fine. I’ll be the Offense Coordinator. I occasionally play Madden and I own over 200k Lego bricks. Who wants to join my staff?
We’re just gonna crowd source offensive playcalling this year with an in game app
The fact that he chose the Titans over the Eagles says a whole lot.
