Take-a-ways
- Sonny Styles #5 overall prospect
- Lemon #1 WR (7 overall)
- Downs #10 overall (consensus top 3 in most rankings)
- Top Offensive Lineman is PSU's Vega a Guard
- Tyson #15 (points to medical red flags, which is odd as this will happen at the combine)
- He's higher on the Edge class than most, has several day 2 guys in the 1st round
- Toledo's Emmanuel McNeill-Warren #19 overall, day 2 for most
- Blake Miller (OT #3, overall 23) another day 2 guy he's higher on (I like Blake quite a bit too but have Lomu higher than him early on)
- Doesn't buy the hype on Keldric Faulk who is this years Shemar Stewart in that his production doesn't match the top 10 rankings most have as of now
- Doesn't buy the hype on Peter Woods either who has not shown he has the endurance for the NFL, clemson is unique in that they platoon their D-lineman a ton with increased snaps you can see Woods gassed out there a lot
- Antonio Williams as WR #4 (I like Chris Bell a whole lot more than him I guess,he's the 50th prospect citing his injury which might be worse than we currently know bc he can ball)
- #2 QB is prospect 40 in Ty Simpson

As someone in permanent refresh mode, this post was a complete jump scare.
Lemon is the best Wr in the class , I grt why people might be hesitant to take a “slot” that high but the dude plays huge , makes plays was already relied on to be a primary playmaker, catches well and has an edge too him. If he’s bizarro sungod that’s still pretty good
Oh, dude had us taking DE at #6. Ridiculous.
7 Tackles and 11 Receivers. This draft is pretty good for the brown’s needs, all things considered.
Why is pointing to Tyson’s injuries weird? It’s the top red flag about him that everyone mentions first
It’s gonna be so difficult to pass on some of those top defensive prospects. Could definitely be a draft where AB trades back a few spots so someone else can get a top defensive player and we can still grab the best WR or OL in this class.
Really hope we trade back a few spots and grab Lemon. Dudes in that JSN/Amon Ra SB mold are becoming more valuable in todays NFL. I feel like theres more talent at the top of the WR board then there is for OL this year. Think we could get a playmaking WR in the top 12 and find a better value with Lomu/Vega/ Freeling at the back of the 1st or Early 2nd. Theres a pretty steep drop off once you get in that Boston/Brazzell/Bell tier
Passing on Tate if he’s available feels like passing on Julio Jones pt2
I like the take on Antonio Williams, but I’ll admit that is mostly because I am down on Boston, KC and Bell. Bell just seems to stiff for me to work at the NFL level as more than a sacrificial X or clear out z type of player, which you can get much later than where he is projected to go.
Medicals aside, it would be cool to have Jordyn and Jaylen Tyson balling out in Cleveland…
I was initially disgusted at Jeremiah having us draft Bailey at 6 but it makes sense from a value perspective, the best O lineman in this class is probably a guard, and I’m not certain if Tate/Lemon/Tyson are worth the 6 pick in a vacuum. I view this team as a full rebuild….we’re not going to see the offense fixed to match the defense in the course of one season, and by the time the offense improves, some of our defense might be injured, age out, decline in play, etc.
I will say that I’m much higher on Ty Simpson than this sub seems to be, and every time I do a mock draft with the “bpa” mindset, I end up taking Ty in the 2nd round. If we came out of this draft with Bailey/best wr avail/Ty Simpson/fill out o-linemen the rest of the draft, I’d be pretty happy.
Surprised Reese is still at 3 – he fell off quite a bit after the Penn State game.
Also surprised Rueben Bain is only at 6 – he was an absolute monster in the CFP against elite competition even though his measurables are kinda shit.
I love Caleb Downs but unfortunately safety isn’t a super valuable position in the NFL anymore and the ones that are tend to be 6’4 215-220 pounds.
We don’t have a need for it, but I could absolutely see somebody trading into the top 5 for Jeremiyah Love.
I’m disappointed that Lemon’s popularity is picking up steam, because I saw him as a highly underrated guy who was falling under the radar and a possibility with the Jacksonville pick. Then the advanced stats on the season started getting published and the data was putting him at the very top of all WRs.
So unfortunately it looks like the Browns will need to pick between Lemon and Tate, with little to no chance of nabbing both. Which sucks, cuz playing Tate wide with Lemon in the slot would have meant a serious 180 on the team’s WR situation.
Trade down no matter what
I’m all for trading back like 2 or 3 spots. Hopefully AB can fleece someone.
Emmanuel McNeill-Warren is an absolute freak and i wish he would fall to the 3rd so we could take him without missing out on a top wr or o linemen.
My biggest issue with the OT’s at the top of this draft is they are right tackles, which typically don’t go as high as left tackles and i wouldn’t be surprised if none go in the top 8. I think its WR or trade down a few spots.
Idk man, in Jeremiah’s mock he had us taking Bailey, the top DE
