Did Dumars never stop to wonder WHY the Pacers were trading FRPs during the Finals?

Been making this argument forever and few seem to understand. The Pacers team doctors would have specifically told Haliburton “you are at risk of an achilles tear if you play on your strained calf”, and the GM would have got the same report from those doctors.
Weaver/Dumars had probably already decided they wanted Queen though and didn’t GAF about why the Pacers were motivated to make a deal.
This is Example 1A for why you don’t hire thru convenience and personal relationships
There is a reason Dumars has been unemployed since his historically disastrous end with the Pistons, despite the championship.
Weaver is the one empowered to make all these moves. Dumars signed off on it but Weaver is calling the shots. It’s like the reverse of what we had with Griff and Langdon.
This is nonsense. The Pacers didn’t expect him to tear his Achilles the next day.
