This is a terrible idea, one good oc that is creative and uses the talent in a smart way is the way to go. two oc's is gonna be a detriment. if one is weak in an area so you need a second one then he is not a good choice to begin with. I love my Lions but I think they are wasting their opportunity.

My only concern is infighting with essentially three heads on the offense… to this point everyone sings Dan Campbell and brad Holmes’ names in praises on having a united front and bringing great culture; DMO is upset thor is good as gone and those were two of our rocks on offense and defense not to mention the state of flux our oline is in… I just don’t know we have basically added another wrinkle to an already complex situation.

    Is Kafka working under Petzing? Scott Montgomery out(?) whether he get OC job or not.

11. It's a collaboration! It's just that plan. You can have a team making decisions with a leader. Also, it keeps a person in position just in case someone gets a job the next year. Then you don't have to start from the beginning

16. Petting reportedly struggles with the passing game. Seems to me Kafka as the passing game coordinator to help refine the route concepts is kind of obvious. Its fairly common in the college game.

17. To be honest, i think they brought Kafka in to be Dan's Right hand man. The one knock on Petz was that he is to repetitive with his play calling. I think thats why Kafka was hired.

21. I think Tampa Bay had co OCs a year or two ago. But I suspect Petzing will call plays, but Kafka will design pass plays, and may get assistant head coach duties/position

28. I assume that there will only be one play caller. Likely Petzing. Kafka will probably be there to help with scheming

I find the situation unique I've asked myself the same questions and I don't know but it makes me wonder if they're not trying to combine two offenses into one and depending on the team being played from week to week the play caller will be either one of these two based on team and the other will be observing from the box this will create unpredictable offense

39. I agree, I think this will help Dan focus more on defense and making sure shep is doing well. Also, I think Dan would check with Petzing before just throwing this at him.

40. I highly doubt it’s gonna be OC by committee. Petzing will more than likely be the play caller and might have some input from Campbell & Kafka. Kafka will probably be the passing game coordinator, and a lot of teams have someone in that role.

45. I’m going to assume Petzing is calling the plays, Kafka steps in when it’s not game day, walkthrough, designing plays for that specific team they’re going against, things of that nature, and will probably work closely with Petzing.
