The Chiefs biggest concerns are in their own division. The Chargers and Broncos, at this point, almost guarantee the Chiefs 4 losses coming out of the gate. Not because the Chiefs are getting worse, bcuz those teams already surpassed the Chiefs and are continuing to improve.
Chiefs canāt win without YAC. Brown would fit that role perfectly.
Don't see this happening with Brown. 30M with a lot of holes to fill. Maybe something with McDuffie for a younger lower cost BTJ. Edge and DL are much bigger needs.

not sure if this is totally accurate- yes they can do simple restructures, but those increase cap hits on contracts in future years. you're constraining a lot of cap space down the line, so it's not a simple decision by any means.

I think you gotta be patient you had a great run. I think it would be smarter to use next year as a gap year and let mahomes heal up and get more draft picks and let go of top heavy players. 2027 seems to be a more realistic for Chiefs to be a contender again. Even 2028 when mahomes turns 33 could be a start of another run through his 37th year. I'm an old school fan, so I'm more patient than the newbies.
