Gordan was dead wrong about Jed & Cubs having more financial flexibility in 2021. They had 1 prospect worth a darn in Davis & a payroll of 220M coming off of the COVID "biblical losses"… It was the ONE TIME in the past 10 years that they actually DID NOT have the $$$$
I know Shota had a rough 2nd half, but he seems like the type of guy who will get better this year. Glad he's coming back.
What would have help most was to get a big bat and a closer. Jed is still lying.

He would rather be competitive rather than winning the WS.
Gavey was a stupid signing. He only pitched 10.2 innings last year.
Your job is to get the best players available.

Exactly…….part of the reason the Dodgers can is because they can. They’re playing within the rules. Get the Cubs a real owner and a real tv deal so we can actually compete with the Dodgers. I mean come on, we’re the Chicago Cubs!!!………and by the way, no one puts BIG Papi is the corner!

You can't compare Shaw to Bryant or EL Mago. That's stupid.
Nico or Shaw has to go. Nico has no power and you can't depend on a young guy like Shaw to be a bench guy Shaw needs to play every day.

We lost the Brewers series because of Nico's 6crun error.
Signing Happ was stupid, especially given the fact they gave him a no trade clause.
The Dodgers have proven there is not a salary cap.
The goal is to win the world series not to be "in it, year in year out".
